"The bibs were a little bulky, but fit over layers nicely. Probably too thick for warm/hot weather hunts. It rained pretty heavy during my hunt and my pants were wet when I changed out that night. Not totally soaked, but more than damp from sweat."

"My review is of the Rain Suede Scent-Lok bibs, regular, in Cabela’s Seclusion camo.
These bibs were purchased to use primarily for hunting (moose, caribou, etc;), but also for other overnight outings that might encounter rain (in Alaska! No… rain never falls here…). Specifically I wanted camo hunting bottoms that could be used for our nearly month long moose season. Even when it’s not raining… it’s wet, at least in the morning, with heavy dew on the vegetation. Some areas I hunt have vegetation that exceeds waist high, which is why I decided on bibs instead of pants.
I hunted one full day in the rain, which was sometimes light and sometimes a bit heavier. These bibs kept me completely dry throughout. I normally sweat pretty heavily during hikes and was still very dry after a five mile plus hike, which leads me to believe they do breathe fairly well. During morning walks, through dew soaked vegetation, they have kept me very dry. The fit is quite comfortable and the sizing seems to be spot on. I like the buttons over the front zipper and the leg zippers. The zippers seem very solid. The two front pockets are roomy enough for what I carry and positioned well on the bibs. There’s a nice flap over each pocket zipper to keep out moisture. I’m not a huge fan of Seclusion camo, but I don’t dislike it either. For the moose season it seems to blend OK with the tangled timber areas I hunt. One other feature I do want to comment on that I really like a lot are the leg cuff snaps. Many rain pants I’ve had in the past have snaps that don’t quite cinch the cuffs up as much as I’d like. These bibs have several snap options that completely cinch up the cuffs around my LaCrosse rubber knee boots. Short of actually going in over my knees, they form a watertight barrier for lesser puddles.
I have only used these pants for a week, but have been delighted so far. The Scent-Lok version is a nice addition, but honestly they were only purchased because Cabela’s was out of the non-lined version. When I first pulled them out of the box, they felt a bit heavier than I expected, in a way that would be noticeable while hiking. However, while actually out hiking, the weight was not an issue at all. They are not packable bibs- which the description mentions- so don’t make the mistake of thinking that they can be packed up in a small bundle.
One final note: they’re quieter than I would have guessed. Not Berber fleece quiet, but certainly quiet enough for hunting in close (IMHO). I’ve done a lot of archery hunting for whitetails and would not hesitate to use them for that. If you think they’re too noisy… well, then you need to work on your hunting skills.
Overall, an excellent product, as most Cabela’s products are. Certainly more than worth the sale price."

"I bought this and in the same shipment arrived my bowhunter extreme bibs. Allthough the other bibs is warmer, more expensive and maybe better quality, this bibs has become my favourite hunting clothing. I wear it in all kinds of weather, it breathes enough to even hunt on a warm dry day and if it is cold, you can wear some trousers under it. I love it and would recommend it to everybody. And i shot 20 goose yesterday evening and they did not see me."

"I like these bibs. They aren't bulky in the legs or seat, and they are quiet. I would like to see the straps be removable, because I think the buckles will get broken while tumbling in the dryer, but they've survived a handful of tumblings so far. A few more pockets would be nice, especially on the chest flap area. Ultimately, I am quite dry and satisfied with this puchase. The scent blocker has so far appeared to be quite effective, as I've had more than 15 doe wander past me on my buck hunts, not raising their snout in the slightest. Good luck out there!"

"I used these pants on a Moose hunting trip. I found that they did not breath as they advertised and were not waterproof. On a day that it rained I was soaked by 10AM in the morning. I am going to return tham and buy the Gore-tex models."

"The pros 1. Excellent zippers and snaps, especially extra snaps at the cuff to allow you to over wrap cuff for smooth tapered overlap. This makes putting rubber knee boots on over your pant leg much easier. 2. Fabric very smooth, soft, quiet and durable. 3. Scent supression excellent. Spent over 15 days in treestands this bow season, saw 50+ deer and was never winded. 4. Camo pattern very vivid and realistic and shows no signs of fading after two washings.
The cons 1. A little tight in the leg. When gun season came and I switched from rubber knee boots to a light pac boot, even unsnapped and unzipped I could not pull on over a size 10 boot. Zipper up side of leg needs to be a few inches longer 2. Two small chest pockets and one zippered rear pocket are not enough. Needs handwarmer pockets at the waist and cargo pockets on legs."

"These Bibs are my first purchase of sent loc clothing, the scent loc feture is an amazing thing. I actually had a doe come directly below me while bowhunting from about fifteen feet up in a climber treestand. This deer was within about ten feet from me and was licking the tree I was in. I am not sure why as I did not have any attractant out of any kind. Also the bibs did keep me dry in a light rain the next day. The only downside to these bibs is that they are not as quite as one might like while bowhunting.There is a little noise when rubbing against the tree."
