"It is not easy finding shorts with the required (for me) 4" or 5" inseam. As I am only 5'4", shorts with 9" inseams almost reach down to my knees, which is not what I want when I'm thinking "shorts".
They are comfortable and the quality seems very good. The zipper slides like it should and the velcro is well sewn-on. Sadly that is not the case in other garments for this price.
I'm happy."

"I don't like long inseams on BDU shorts or denim shorts. So I tried the Cabela's Trail Shorts with the 5" inseam. It's perfect for me. This inseam size keeps the fabric off of my knees, and I'm cooler and more comfortable.

"This is the second time that I have purchased these shorts. All the local stores here stock the "to the knee or below" style shorts that are so popular with the young people "not my style". On occassion I have found shorts but they don't have the style and fit that these short have. "Perfect shorts for any activity. Well constructed, right length, not hanging around your knees."
"Even though I am 65 yrs old, I still like my shorts somewhat short. I'm not fond of the long inseams. I bought them to wear on a cruise to the Panama Canal area, where it is 95 degrees, and 95% humidity. Lots of pockets to carry small items. Even went swimming in them in the ocean. My bathing suit was on the ship. They dried on the balcony and wore them the next day.
Recommend them to all active people. My wife said they looked great on me!"

"I'm a small guy -- not a SHORT guy, please! -- and shorts with the customary seven- or eight-inch inseam come down to my kneecaps. The Trail Shorts five-inch inseam is just right. Plus, the 31-inch waist is perfect on me. The usual 32-inch waist "bunches up" under my belt. I'll be ordering more of these great shorts."
