"I purchased these waders as an alternative to my chest waders. I am so glad I did. They are easy to get off and on. They are neoprene so they are flexible and give a lot. I have used them in streams, lakes and my float tube. I usually don't wade over my thighs so these are perfect. But they are a little higher than hip boots. I wear a base layer underneath them to either keep cool or warm up. When it was warmer I did wear them with shorts but for me it is more comfortable to wear a base layer but I don't think you would have to. Size seems to be fairly true to size. They may run a hair large. I was in bewteen size and I am glad I went up a size."

Great for cold water fishing,August 4, 2009

"I purchased these for a fly-fishing trip to Alaska. The air temperatures that we were fishing in were between 49 and 64, and the water was very cold as it wasn't too far away from a melting glacier. I never got too hot or cold in these boots. The felt soles were great to manager the river bed with multiple sized rocks. My only complaint is that the waist on my size 13's was about 52 inches which made it difficult to get the belt small enough to stay up on my 34 inch waist. I also have a 34 inch inseam and the length on the waders was fine."

"I needed waders that aren't so heavy and hot for smaller stream fishing, so I took a shot at these 3mm waist high waders. They are fantastic (so far). I've worn them 6 times as of this writing, and I'm not disappointed. They are about half the weight of my chesties, they fit right, have felt soles so I'm not slipping on rocks, alot cooler and overall, I'd recommend them to anyone. I'm very pleased so far."

"Purchased these because I have some foot problems that do not allow my feet to get wet in the lake and use the waders when working on my boat from the water... My only complaint is that the waistband is too big for me. Yes, I needed a size 15 boot but even at the smallest setting, the waist is huge on me. I should have gotten the chest waders with the shoulder straps. Kept me and my feet dry though!"

"I bought last year for all season river fishing in Alberta and BC, and salmon fishing on the kitimat. Fit great no problems climbing in and out of drift boat, boots fit well and work good on slimy boulders. For added comfort dont wear pants underneath just boxers and socks."

"Got these waders for trout stream fishing and they are great.
The felt soles stick to slippery rocks like velcro and the waders come up high enough to navigate some pretty deep holes.
The thinsulate does tend to get a bit warm in temps above 70, but other than that no complaints!"

"These are my first pair of waders. I am 6' 2" and found the inseam on my size eleven's to be a little bit short. The fit of the boots are perfect. Quality of construction is what you would expect from Cabela's (i.e., above average). I took them out for a day of fly fishing on the Credit River in Southern Ontario and they worked just fine. They were comfortably warm while in the water. However, the neoprene was a little too warm out of the water. That is to be expected with this type of wader. I had to bushwack around some deep spots in the river and was a little worried about ripping or puncturing the waders on a branch, but they held up beautifully to the abuse. Overall, a great product for the price."
