"Best price, best quantity, and it works! I used these for American Shad. Fast current and rocky parts of the river only. Eventually they did chip, but that happens with any colored hooks in that kind of fishing area."

"Great for fishing where there are a lot of hangups in rather large rocks and roots. The hooks are very sharp and strong enough to keep a large fish on but will straighten out if caught on a major obstruction (with 8 to 10 lb. test line). They are easily bent back into shape with a strong fingernail or pliers. I buy 'em a few hundred at a time and clean the eyes out while watching TV in the dead of winter."

"Good jigs but I ordered to get 1 packs of regular jigs and one pack of red hook jigs in each colour offered, due to back orders I ordered 2 packs of regular jigs in a few colours to make up the difference. But when I received my order i was missing some colours and had triples of other colours"

"We use a ton of these, they are not the best jig on the market but for the money you can't beat them. They stay pretty sharp over their lifespans. Gave them a four because you do get some where the paint doesn't last long on them if its a harder bottom. Also, sometimes the hooks bend a little easy. Never lost a fish due to them failing. All in all, for the money, you can't complain, as they get the job done for less and have helped us catch some great fish."

"The paint on the cabelas prepainted jigs is too soft. If used in soft bottom lakes or rivers I`m sure they are fine, but in rocky bottom rivers the paint chips off too quickly, causing frequent jig changes, and lost fishing time."

"I fish a 1500 acre reservoir for 3types of bass, white crappie, black crappie, bluegill, carp, and catfish. The 1/16 ounce chartruse(096) with white and black speckled tube tail will take all of the above gamefish especially the crappie. These work nicely from March thru Nov."

"I ordered these for an upcoming summer of river smallmouth fishing, and while I get more quantity for my dollar, I am not impressed by the quality. I must say I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews, but ordered them nonetheless...and the poor reviews carried true for me. the paint on these does not stay on very well, but I suppose that for the same amount of money I could get 1/2 as many and they would last me just as long. These are the first thing that I have seen with a Cabela's logo on them that I was not completely satisfied with. But a good thing to fill in orders with."

"Use them in northern Ontario for walleyes for several weeks each summer.
Hooks are nice and sharp, BUT the paint flakes off very easily. Usually loose a big chunk when clearing the eye and after fishing for an hour or so on a rocky bottom, it has to be replaced due to paint loss.
The paint needs to be reformulated to provide better adhesion to the jig and less flaking. This is the reason for my low rating.
They do catch a lot of fish!"
