"So far the only thing that I have found that really works on pontoon rails. The only thing that I am not 100% confident about is the "rubber latch" type system when trolling and pointing the rod tip towards the water. So far so good... will probably purchase 2 more. Work great for both spinning and bait cast/level wind set ups."

"Very solid product. Very easy to install. Putting rod in or taking out is very quick. The only thing missing is a way to swivel the holder. On my boat (18 ft. Pontoon)it would be great if I could change the orientation of the holder."

"purchased six rod holders for our small fishing pontoon. Was over joyed with the quality and the easy install on the pontoon square railing. We flip one vertically for a handy holder for the fishing net. Holds the rods perfectally in any position. Great for trolling! Only one slightly negative point. We fish for trout and prefer to use ultra-lite gear so if the the holder is not in a near vertical position you stand the chance of losing your rod with a strong strike. Have had lots of strikes, haven't lost a rod yet. Look great on our boat. Have had lots of compliments! great product!"

"fit to rail as advertised. little clumbsy to remove spinning reel on rod. you have to have the reel in a up position to fit in holder not in the normal reeling position"

"These rod holders work, but are difficult to mount in a usable space. They literally come up "short." The rod holder stem, which plugs into the rail mount should be longer so that the rod holder is held 4" or 5" higher up. They currently hit the top of the seats mounted arould the rails on most pontoon boats. Unless you have a lot of open rail space the are difficult to utilize."

"Well constructed, easy to install, I have used 4 of them for a year and just ordered another one. 5 Total on my 22' pontoon boat. Heavily used the only reason for the 4 stars, it is tight to lift and swivel, even after using for a year and I don't think it will get any looser. Once in place nothing could be better."
