egg sinkers,October 8, 2009
By Ironthumbfrom Torrance, CA
"The worst product that I've seen from Cabela's. The hole is so big that it slides right over my small swivel, rendering them useless unless I use a much larger swivel, which I won't use for trout fishing. A total waste of money, stay away from this sinker, it's a stinker!!!"

"no complaints. but just for a heads up, the hole for the line to go through might be a little big. so get weight stoppers that are medium size"

"Excellent product, good price, in this hard-to-find size sinker. This is the size to use with slip-bobber rigs, when fishing for walleyes in deep water."

Cabelas Egg Sinkers,January 4, 2007
By Lannyfrom Idaho
"I have used these since 1974 when a friend of mine introduced me to them, they are by far the best value, and just as good as any on the market today. Now my son uses them too, and I'm sure this will continue on through generations. I know I will never use any others except these. We even came up with a rig where you can use the heavier ones as downrigger balls for getting your spinners down deep while trolling. We use the Cabelas three way swivel, and hook a one ounce Cabelas egg sinker to about a foot of line on one side then our lure to about 18" on the other side, while trolling it keeps your line from twisting but helps you get down deeper if you are like me and can't afford a real downrigger."

"I bought Cabela's egg sinker last summer and worked really well. It does not have any sharp edges that will affect my fishing line. It glides smoothly and does not tangles my line."

Cabelas egg sinkers keep off the stinker!,November 20, 2006
By thofflandfrom Phoenix, AZ
"A while back I ordered a nice variety pack of Cabelas egg sinkers to use in the surf off the coast of Southern California. Weight on the beach is important since you use a variety of line weights and sensitivity is important when you're trying to tell if you've got kelp, a fish, or a wave moving your line around in the water. At the same time, you need to balance that sensitivity with the ability to keep your bait in the hot spot.
The sinker assortment pack came in everything from 1/8th oz to 3/4 oz. Perfect for me since I'm not throwing line much heavier than 12lb test from the shore. They came neatly arranged in a nice plastic container, which is now being used for other tackle as well.
Setup on a Carolina Rig with a bead before the swivel, the egg sinkers slide on the line easily. The holes at both ends don't have extra flaps of lead from poor molds during the pour, and your rig is tied and ready to fish in no time without hassle.
Cabelas has quality products, which is why I always come back for more!"
