Two extra-large front pockets, two chest pockets with hook-and-loop closures, and right and left-side interior security pockets provide plenty of storage space. An inside drawcord waist adjustment lets you tighten the coat up to keep out a chill. These coats also have rib-knit storm cuffs in the sleeves, a soft corduroy collar with snaps
underneath for an optional hood, and a full-zip front with hook-and-loop storm flap.

"I LOVE my Carhartt Arctic Jacket. I mush dogs, and I run them on a dog scooter when the snow is gone, and need a jacket that will stand up to the abuse of mushing. Like getting dragged down the trail by a team of crazed Huskies, scraped across rocks, sticks, gravel, and dirt at 15 MPH. This actually happened. It not only didn't show any damage whatsoever, it kept me from getting torn to pieces. It's warm, fits like a glove, and will stand up to years of abuse. The zipper is great, and I love the pockets. Lots of big pockets! It attracts dog fur, and, as it is shed season, it is becoming my Carhartt fur coat!! I'd recommend this jacket. Money well spent!!"

"This jacket has all the quality expected in a Carhart, and is very well built. It's also pretty warm, but I don't think I'd wear it alone when it's snowin' & blowin'! When worn with a couple heavy layers underneath(like a sweatshirt and fleece jacket) , it is very, very warm. Very sturdy, though. This should last for years and years."

"I own an old brown waist length, quilted carhartt coat, very warm. You could feel that there was alot of fill under that nylon lining. But this "arctic" coat seems much thinner by comparison. The size seemed to run big. I returned it for a medium. I'm actually glad that it is the way it is, so I can wear it spring and fall. I was afraid I'd roast. "Arctic",. . .I'm not so sure."

"I work on an open flight line where the wind blows at 25 to 35 mph all the time. With temps from the teens to 50 degree range this coat provides ample warmth and wind protection. Snap on the hood and your good to go!!!!!!!!!"

"This is a great winter jacket for anything outside in the winter from delivering girl scout cookies to running the snowblower. I like it so mucch, I bought the hood. The duck cloth is extremely durable, somewhat water resistant. I have never had a problem, but I think working out in the rain for hours would get me wet. I normally wear tall clothes, but for working, I think one should consider the advantage of shorter sleeves. I bought this in a 46 regular and normally, I would buy an XL Tall. The sleeves are long enough to cover, without getting in what my hands are working on."

"My wife and I have horses and I'm in the barn off and on all day long, summer, winter, spring and fall. My new carhartt sandstone duck artic coat is not only warm and durable but also great looking. With horses and especially our new weanling my coat gets dirty, real dirty and it's important to have a coat that can stand the wear of daily use along with many washings that it goes through. "I just used this jacket for the first time in the cold. It is certainly adequate, but not sure I would call it and "arctic" jacket. It cerainly looks good, and is well made. But if you go to the arctic circle, you may want to try some thing else."
