What more could you ask for?,September 10, 2009
By NHBigBuckHunterfrom Plymouth, NH
"This case works just fineeeee. I have six reels stored in it for the winter. If i'm going on a weekend fishing trip its perfect for throwing in the back of the truck with my pole tubes during transport. For the price you can't beat it. It offers my mid range reels simple protection when they're not in constant use. Go for it, buy it!"

Plano reel case,September 1, 2008
By Stargeezer
"I just purchased my second Plano reel case. While they are not as heavy duty as some of the much more expensive hard cases they are fairly priced and very serviceable. While I wouldn't want to commercially ship very expensive gear in them I've used my first one on many fly-in trips to Canada, a couple to the Keys and many to Lake Michigan. Not one problem."

hot box,March 7, 2008
By NYCFishfinderfrom BROOKLYN, NEW YORK
"I now own 3 of these for my pricey Made in U.S.A. reels. Each box will hold 4 large reels or six smaller size reels and price to value is outstanding. The water repellant plastic outer shell is strong enough for what it is designed to do and the inside of the box is padding that is wave contoured so that when the box is closed, the padding either makes full contact with itself or encases the objects inside. No movement of stored items inside the box, so no damage. The two locking clasps have not been any problem so far. Inexpensive and effective storage for my fishing jewels, I am hooked."

Great Deal,November 28, 2007
By SpinMasterfrom Milwaukee, WI
"I've had a soft reel case for years and usually take two trips to Canada each year, worried each time about reel damage -- on the plane, off the plane, in the car, at the cabin, etc. This Plano case offers plenty of protection at relatively light weight ... especially given the price; I would not worry about checking it into regular luggage. Its rated for four reels, but more might fit; the case is larger than it looks. The ideal case, however, is still out there -- internal compartments, foam lined (like the Plano case), hard shell (like the Plano), shoulder straps, fabric over plastic, lock-down closures and the like. The ideal case, however, will cost more likely. So ... I bought 2 Plano reel cases."

Plano hard reel case.,November 26, 2007
By Driftboatfrom Vancouver, Washington
"This case did not meet my expectations at all. The material it is made of is not heavy enough to trust stacking with anything of weight on this case. It is not secure enough for commercial travel as it would be very easy to break off the locking tabs by just twisting the padlock if used.
*However it it suitable for storage and light personal travel."

Sadly, I can't recommend this product,October 18, 2007
By NCSurfFishermanfrom Outer Banks, NC
"I own a Plano tackle box that has served me well for years. I thought this hard case might be the same fine quality. I was mistaken. It is NOT a hard case. The plastic is very thin and bends / binds when you are trying to close it with reels in the case. I was going to use this for some of my good reels, instead it will be religated to carrying my cheaper reels. This was clearly a case of "you get what you pay for"..."

Safety,November 22, 2006
By deepwaterfrom Oregon native, fish for trout, salmon, steelhead
"When I'm on the road going fishing, I want my reels to get there unbroken, clean and fairly scent free. I don't worry since I got the Plano Hard Case. It does all it needs too. I have one for spinning reels and one for my casting reels. 7000 miles last summer and the fish put the only wear on my reels."
