"Best out of the package bucktail on the market. Super sharp hooks. They do shed hair, but you can fix this issue with a little zap a gap or crazy glue on the wraps. They have produced for me on every species inshore in the Northeast and the Florida Keys. Especially Fluke, stripers and blues in NJ. Tarpon and bones in the Keys. White, bunker, mullet, and magic bus are my favorite colors. Tip them with a Berkeley Gulp swimming mullet and hold on."

"Amazing !!! I hooked 4 tarpon ( couldn't landed it), kingfish, cobia, bluefish, jacks, lizardfish, snook and so many other fishes.. I am scared that spro will discontinue this bucktail.. hope not.. for big fish use the small one 1/2 is great.. fast current go with 1oz. and just pump the rod tip."

"I purchase 30-40 per year, great for stripe bass when you add a wiggly tail. Catch more stripers trolling this bucktail than all others combined. Only draw back is I have a rack of jig heads and all the hair has been ripped out, continously having to re-paint the body when bouncing these off the bottom. Favorite colors ,white, green/white and bunker."

"I used Spro Prime Bucktail jigs for the first time this year during the NJ fluke (summer flounder) season with great success. White, 11/2 ounce Spro bucktails tipped with a white Berkley Gulp! swimming mullet were irrestible to Raritan Bay fluke. "This jig is arguably the best to be currently had on the market. The colours ( especially the white and glow ), attention to detail and the quality and sharpness of the hooks all contribute to the superiority of this item and its fish catching ability. The eyes, holographic scale finish, and mylar reflective strips added to the genuine bucktail all make this lure almost too pretty to use, but, do not make that mistake, or you will limit you catch. From fluke on the bottom in New Jersey to mackeral in the upper water cloumn in Florida, these jigs produce on a consistant basis."

"I have used Spro bucktails since they first hit the market several years ago. I believe this lure to be one of the best on the market, but with one exception. The lures are available in a decent array of colors (bunker pattern is my favorite) and sizes. The hooks are excellent, sharp out of the package. The only drawback , in my opinion, is the way the bucktail (hair) is attached to the head. On numerous occasions, and there have been plenty, the bucktail just falls out. Since I am a fly tier, it is fairly easy to replace. I've contacted the company in the past about the problem, but was never given any sort of response. I like the jigs and will continue to purchase them. BTW, the jigs that I re-tie never have problems with BALDING. Tinknocker"
