Cabela's Split Ring Kit

Stainless steel and American made. Split ring sizes are: 7(60 lb.), 8(80 lb.), 9(100 lb.), 10(179 lb.). Pliers have an offset jaw and also can be used to crimp and spread shot, or clean jig eyes. Made of stainless steel. Kit is shipped complete with a handy Plano box.

"Not what I was expecting... these are NOT what you would use for fresh-water lures to replace the split-rings on your lures - these are WAY TOO BIG! I kept them because I have found a use for them - I've been using the smallest in the kit as a make-shift O-Ring for fishing Senkos/Soft-Plastic Worms wacky-rigged."

"This split ring kit has a good assortment of sizes, but they are very heavy rings that cannot be used for smaller lures.
I don't know if I can use any of these rings unless I use them for large lead type jigs or something in that order for heavy surf fishing. Something I rarely do.
The split ring pliers that come with this kit is worthless, as I couldn't get any of the rings to start to open with it.
I will just chalk it up to a bad experience with what I bought and see if I can sell it in a yard sale or something.
This kit really needs to be advertised as extra heavy duty rings so people know what their getting, and toss the pliers, whoever designed them needs to relook into them."
