"Batteries were dead when I received it. Replaced them, and when I went to use it next a week later, batteries were dead again. Big waste of money."

"It works! Stream temps have always been time wasting and of doubtful accuracy. This tool, in a second, solves the problem. The only downside is that I have become the official temperature keeper for our group."

"To early to say how long the battery will last and it is probably a novelty. But, I really like this thermometer on my fly fishing lanyard. Easy to use and read, it is nice to know the water I'm climbing in to (in my float tube) is only 38 degrees! Thank goodness for Cabelas 5mm Neoprene!"

"Very accurate. Checked and double checked with my standard stream thermometer. Within .5 degrees. What's nice is you don't have to insert the thermometer in the water, you can take a reading standing up or close to the water. Fits neatly in a small pocket, just the right size. Highly Recommend"

Awesome Thermometer for Fishing Fans,April 3, 2007

"The InfraRed Thermometer performed beyond my expectations. It's an awesome tool for any fisherman or for someone who is managing fishing ponds and facilities.
The instructions are pretty entertaining, too.
Comes with a specialized battery so I'm not sure how it will be when I need to replace the battery. Hopefully that won't happen for some time.
