"I haven't had the chance to use my float tube I just got...I got it to late in the year but I plan on using it alot this coming spring& summer I can promise you that....I know I will have a great experence with it ...I had a cheaper one last year and I really liked it and this one is much better then that one was so I know I will enjoy this one .....I would recommend this float tube anyone who loves to fish as much as I do .Get yourself one of these and you won't go wrong"

"Do not purchase this float tube. As others have already mentioned, the orange fabric is sub-standard. I used my tube three times and the fabric ripped open. Consider that I was a solid mile into the lake I was fishing, and any ripping sound is not welcomed. I was able to limp this piece of junk back to shore. I've sent it back to Cabelas and purchased something better. Until this problem is solved, do not buy this."

"THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER USED A FLOAT TUBE, JUST LAST WEEK IN NORTHERN QUEBEC FLYFISHING FOR TRUOT. LOVED IT, WHAT AN EXPERIENCE. DID LEARN REAL QUICK THAT FLIPPERS WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER CHOICE THAN PADDLES. GETTING AROUND WAS EASY TO GET FROM POINT A TO POINT B, BUT MAINTAINING LOCATION TO FISH AGAINST THE WIND WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER ACHIEVED WITH FOOT FLIPPERS SO I COULD HAVE CONTINUED TO FISH AND NOT WORRY ABOUT PADDLEING BACK TO THE LOCATION. "This was the first tube that I ever fished out of and I thought it was pretty good. It was comfortable for a while but the longer you sit in it the more uncomfortable it gets. The rods in the seat back eventually start digging in to you and starts to become very uncomfortable. The spreader bar works great gives you more room and plenty of pockets for everything you need. I had a blow out in the orange section of the tube due to not relieving the pressure on a hot summer day. I took mine back and got on odc 420 for $25 more, the main reason was the lifetime warranty on the odc (1 year warranty on the Togiak) and a more comfortable seat. Odc 420 seems to be better built."

"I HAVE PURCHASED 3 OF THESE TUBES AND 2 OF MY FRIENDS ALSO HAVE THEM.I LOVE THE DESIGN AND FUNCTION BUT QUALITY IS POOR.MY FIRST ONE THE LEFT BLADDER LEAKED SO I REPLACED IT(3 TIMES) FOUND IT WAS A STICH THAT WAS POKING HOLES.IT WAS WARRENTEED NO PROBLEM.THE NEW BOAT WAS PUT TOGETHER AND I LET IT SIT IN MY GARAGE FOR A COUPLE DAYS TO BE SURE IT WAS OK.TEMP IN THE GARAGE WAS AROUND 78 TO 82 DEGREES THE OUTER COVER CAME APART WERE THE OARNGE MATERIAL MEETS THE YELLOW.SO I FIGURED I WAS AT FAULT.BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE.USED IT FOR 1 WEEKEND IN THE SIERRAS.GOT OFF THE LAKE PUT IT MY TRUCK CAMPER SHELL AND IT BLEW UP AGAIN IN THE SAM LOCATION.IT WAS ONLY IN THE TRUCK FOR THE TRIP TO CAMP.AND IT WAS NIGHT FALL.THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE OARNGE MATERIAL!!!!!!"

"Generally I like this tube. It is pointed more then rounded so you gain some ease moving in the water. It is light, I recommend using the back pack straps they send you if possible. There is plenty of pocket space for tackle, shoes, etc. My one issue is that in the picture of the tube it appears that the "table" over your lap is sturdy and can hold weight. However in realty it is netting which conntects via velcro to both sides of the tube. The table does not hold weight nor does it really become taught. If your going to buy this tube I would invest in some bungees to connect the table to the various D-rings."

"uncomfortable, poorly made, cheap, and dangerous. Its very easy to fall out. buy any other, the tube leaked a day after we used it, my wife fell through the hole for the feet, no safety strap, very hard to manuver in any type of wind. I've owned 4 other tubes, this is the fifth and now I need to buy another"

"We've used a number of float tubes over the years while packing into alpine lakes. The Togiak has proven itself to be lightweight, tough and very maneuverable. The bow shape allows you to go into the wind and be very controlled, while not exhausting yourself. The higher seat makes casting a fly rod easier and keeps you warmer because your not sitting in the water. It's very packable, either using just the provided straps, or attaching it to a pack. Overall, excellent choice."

"This is a great tube for the price. The bladders are a bit big for the chambers but still fit reasonably well. You sit high in the water and there are plenty of storage pockets. The air valve caps do need to be made stronger because they are real easy to strip out but I have not had one blow off yet. Still waiting for my free T.U. membership though."

"I have only used it one time since I received it. I like the way it handles in the water and sure is easy to carry around. The only problem at this time is the seat. I couldn't seem to get it to feel right. But then I'm a short guy and I think the seat was made for a 6 footer. I have added more foam padding to the seat and sill see how that works. This is my second Trout Unlimited float tube and I used the first one for over five years. So I am sold on thier equipment."

"I purchased the Togiak in 2004 and loved the ease of use and the higher seat. This tube allows you to sit higher in the water and move wiith less resistance. I really liked the design of the tube. the only reason I could not give this item 5 stars is because there is a durability issue with the orange fabric section in the back of the tube. After one season of use, the orange fabric began to deteriorate and the seams came apart. This happened almost exactly one year after I purchased the tube (1 year warranty). It effectively made the tube worthless. I would buy another if I could be certain that it this problem was fixed in later models."

"The Trout Unlimited Togiak float tube is by far the best tube I have used. The price is reasonable and includes a free Trout Unlimited membership. The Togiak is a V-tube with dual bladders and a foam seat for super flotation and high positioning out of the water which is beneficial in casting a fly rod. Also for the price of good flotation, you arent sacrificing by adding weight like other models. It is also alot faster than conventional U-tubes and donut style tubes. It does not have the tendency to catch wind and drift as fast as conventional pontoon tubes. One great feature that I like is a rigid cross-bar in front that keeps the tube from collapsing on the person. I have used V-tubes that lacked the cross bar and did not like how they collapsed around me. Another great feature is the full mesh back liner that allows for drinks to be kept cold in the water and also for keeping fish(if you keep any). The only draw back that I have found with this tube is the main storage pockets are just a tad small for storing 3600 size boxes; although they will fit, it takes some extra effort to get them in. The tube will hold plenty of smaller boxes and has plenty of storage. The Togiak also includes straps that allow the tube to be worn like a backpack while hiking. All in all it is a great tube that is very fishable.

"I've wanted a float tube for some time and finally ordered one. I'm glad I chose this one. It's stable and comfortable. But mostly, it's convenient. I can't slide a fishing boat into the back of my SUV but the float tube is very compact and can go with me everywhere. My cooler is bigger than the tube. If I can't find a spot to fish from shore, the tube is always handy and I can slip into the water and either look for an opening on the shore or just fish from the tube. It's not for big or rough water. That's for the boat. But when used for the purpose for which it was designed, it's perfect."

"Pack this baby to the most remote honeyhole you know. The thing that really impressed me with the Togiak was the ability to take it just about anywhere. The backpacking straps could be a tad wider, but they comfortably support this rig on your back and stays out of the way of your legs allowing you to hike it effortlessly. Storage on theis baby is just great. I have room to spare and I pack an anchor bag, 2 pouches full of plastics, 2 small planos for lures and terminal tackle, tools, extra spool and some personal items like a small first aid kit, bug spray, and snaks. I even throw a small soft sided cooler in the front with some water. There are plenty of tie off points for the anchor and tie down staps that allow me to secure my flippers and waders for the hike in. Probably the best feature of this rig is its manuverability. It tracks straight and turns a stops on a dime. The seat sits high enough to give me good visibility and control yet not so high that the wind grabs you. Great float for a great price."
