"I have a buddy who has a box just like this that I really liked so I bought it. I got it and it the spring doors get stuck pretty easily and sometimes 2 or 3 dours open at once. Come to find out my buddies was not a Cabelas but rather an Okuma. So I think I will be returning this one."

"The box is the same as higher priced okuma boxes, except logo. The individual compartments are nice, although occasionally some compartment lid doesn't function well so that you need to use a pen or stick to trigger it open. It doesn't happen frequently though. Best choice if you need to sort and label your flies."

"Got one as a present and was very happy with it. Bought 2 more for friends and a couple of the doors won't open on there own every time. Sometimes they do sometimes they don't, the springs that flip the door open aren't installed right I'm guessing. Other than that I really like the boxes, its nice to have the compartments on one side and the foam on the other side so when I change flies I can put the damp fly in the foam so it doesn't get the rest of the flies wet that are in the same compartment. I also like the classic look of a metal box as well."

"This fly box is fantastic for the money! Some of the compartment lids stick, but with a little tapping they pop open. Other boxes of the same size by other companies run $120.00 to $140.00 dollars . I will stick with Cabella's box and spend the money on flies."

"I had to return the first one I received because some of the wires used as hinges for the compartments were cut too long and therefore prevented the main lid from closing, as well as one of the compartment lids. The second box was made properly I attached a few magnets to the foam in the lid for quick easy storage of flies while standing in the river. Works great and was worth the money."

"Not only does this box work great but it looks AWESOME!!! I bought the little 6 compartment and I have no problem stuffing 2 to 3 flies in each compartment. The spring clip on the other side is a little weird since I'm used to foam boxes. Other than that, I absolutely love it and can't wait to pick up the 40 compartment box here soon."

"I liked my Cabela's Flybox enough to give one to my son, and now another to my wife. We have flyfished for many years and were always impressed by the Wheatly boxes that we couldn't afford. These are almost as nice at about 1/3 the price. The compartments are a little tricky to open, but a real necessity for tiny flies on windy days."

"I've not been fly-fishing very long, and I'm just getting to know some equipment, but I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the aluminum fly box. I felt that the latches were somewhat uncomfortable, one had to be manipulated excessively to make it work, and one compartment door kept jamming. I expected better quality from a product that was not inexpensive to begin with."
