"This traditional dry fly dressing is the best that I have ever used and is much preferred to other types of coatings. I recommend it to any of my friends who happen to ask me."

Still the best!,September 10, 2007

"I started using Mucilin line dressing to float and refloat my dry flies in 1952 when an older fly fisherman introduced me to the product in the Pecos Wilderness Area of New Mexico. Over the years I have tried powders, dips, pastes, etc. but have never found anything to match this old line dressing, made in England. Most shops no longer carry Mucilin so I was very pleased to find Cabelas carrying both the original and the silica added Mucilin. After 55 years, it still is my favorite."

Best of the Best,May 19, 2007

"I can remember this fly and line dressing on sporting goods store shelves as far back as nearly 40 years ago. Personally, I DO NOT fool around with any other type of FLY or FLY LINE dressing other than MUCILLIN. This stuff is made in England where fly fishing was supposed to have originated. I do prefer the MUCILLIN with silicon added, but used their regular formula for many, many years. As far as I am concerned, this is a MUST HAVE product for any serious fly fisherman. My only complaint concerning this product is that miserable container that they place this cleaner/floatant in. During hot weather, this MUCILLIN DRESSING will get melted and have the tendency to seep out of that thin slip on cap at the top of this small round container. I usually stuff a couple of CORTLAND felt cleaning pads in their to help stop this problem. I will contact this company and see if they can develope a better container for this fine product. AND REMEMBER, you can use this product for both dressing dry flies PLUS as a fly line cleaner/lubricant/floatant...!!"
