"Excellent product. I purchased it in order to make my 2nd hand-wrapped rod. This stand allows me to do as complicated of a design as I care to do. Materials are a little cheap, but for the price, I can't imagine finding a better one."

"Being a professional builder for many years, I retired from the rod building scene a couple of years ago and sold all my power wrapping equipment, etc.
Having missed rod building after a couple of years, and after hundreds of requests, I thought I'd just get a small hand wrapper to build just a few rods each season rather than the huge number in the past.
As far as hand wrappers go, this is perfect. Not too much or too little. Excellent quality and workmanship; exactly what I demand for my work and what I've come to expect from Cabelas.

Rod Wrapper for Repairs,

"My Brother gave me a fly rod to repair, that he estimated to be 40 years old. It was definitely in need of repair. He would never have disposed of it because it belonged to our Father. I sent away to Cabela's for the Rod Wrapper and had never used this kind of equipment before. I have made some minor repairs to eyelets before, but I have never re-wrapped an entire rod. This gadget did a remarkable job of re-winding all of the eyelets on this keepsake and I am happy to announce that the job came out terrific. also, don't forget to order rod repair thread. I know one thing, you can always count on Cabela's."

"This product went together very easy. It serves it's purpose quite well. I don't use the velcro straps to hold down the rod though. I prefer to use rubber bands."

"This is an excellent rod wrapper. I am by no means a professional rod builder but I have built 11 fly rods. This rod wrapper was by far the most easy I have used. Easy to put together. Assisted in wrapping the latest three rods uniformly with the correct amount of tension (tension is easily adjustable)."
