"the snowsuit size was XL regular and the suit fit ok from the waist up but the legs were 6 inches too long which made it unsafe to wear. had to return. suggest you have options for XL short for peopole who have 36" waist and 30" legs"

Good but could be much better.,January 26, 2009
By Pikafrom Northwest Montana
"The suit is a nice suit but it could be much better with very little work. The biggest complaint would be the short zippers on the legs. Yes you can get your smaller boots through the suit, but don't stand up to do it. Making the leg zipper go all the way up with a two way zipper, would make it nice to get to your inside pants front pocket instead of reaching in from the chest zipper. (Try getting your keys or chapstick out) The chest pockets aren't anything more then a velcro tab holding them shut, so don't put anything of value in them. Real pockets would be nicer with a real flap. The suit does have plenty of room and doesn't bind up on you. Good re-enforcement patches. Not bad but it could so much nicer."

Snowy Range Suit,January 7, 2009
By NoStress
"Suit is very comfortable and warm. Quality is good. Only complaint is the way the front of the hood and face guard is designed, very tight and doesn't stay secure."

Can't Wait,December 8, 2008
By Walleye08from North Central Ohio
"Made the trek to our nearest Cabela's retail store yesterday just to try on the Snowy Range Suit. My normal size is XL and the XL-Reg in the store fit perfectly so I bought it. This suit is extremely well insulated yet it does not feel too heavy or bulky. Can't wait to try it out on some winter shore fishing and out on the ice. I like the zippered pant legs but found the velcro on the inner snow leggings to be a bit of a nuisance. A zipper would've been better. In contrast, they seemed to skimp on the velcro that secures the face mask to the hood. It does not allow for a range of settings or snugness. But for the things that matter most to me, I'm very pleased with my purchase."

Hysterman,October 13, 2008
By Hystermanfrom Westport Washington.
"I work in 25 degrees below zero, I am in and out of freezer 12 hrs. a day 7 days a week, & I can highly recommend the Snowy Ranger suit. The first suit I bought the sleeves were to long so I reordered another one, only in a short. One of the guys I work with bought the first one I bought from me, & he says it really keeps him warm all day. You can't even tell your in that cold of a temperture. I difinantely recommend this suit for the exsteam cold. It worth every cent I paid. You can't go wrong in buying it. It works as good as they say it does, if not better. With the proper clothes underneath, you would never be cold. Gene"

Warmth,April 15, 2008
By happywpurchasefrom Fredericksburg, VA
"I purchased one for myself and one for my husband to use on our motorcycles. Provides warmth and keeps wind out. I got the small one but had to roll the sleeves and the legs. Would love for it to come in women's sizes or Xsmall. Fit my husband perfect. Hood is removable too. Plenty pockets and reflective stripes."

snowy range suit,March 25, 2008
By BWBillfrom NH
"For the money,it is an incredible deal. However they (cabelas) sent me the wrong size. Normally I wear an extra large, however the large is working out okay. (i need to lose weight anyway <g>). It is well made, and would work well with most New England winters. In northern NH where it can get extremely cold,I would prefer the Trans Alaska Extreme suit, which is better suited for wind and minus temps. The snowy range suit could be better with leg zippers to the hip. With zippers to the knee,it is hard to get pac boots on and off, without unzipping your whole suit. But for the money and overall quality you can not beat this deal anywhere."

Amazed,March 7, 2008
By DonnerSummitfrom Sierra Foothills
"I do a lot of sewing and have made some relatively complex projects, but the detail and craftsmanship on this suit completely amazes me. I looked it over carefully before I put it on and wondered not only how they sewed it up, but who did the design. Then, on a nice cold California day in the Sierra, I took off on my motorcycle for a test. It was about 33 out and snow was on the ground from a big storm, so I was anxious to get to the higher regions and see how much snow had fallen. I felt nice and snug at 65 out on Interstate 80. The suit is great. There are velcros and straps to fine tune the fit and it is comfortable to ride in. Looks cool too. Highest praise."

good, but not great,February 28, 2008
By NotThefrom South Central NH
"Frankly, I'm slightly disappointed, but just slightly. First night out it was about 10 degrees F. After reading the reviews here, I figured that this would be one warm suit. I set up my telescope wearing my regular, not very warm, parka. This is actually a bit of work so you don't want to be fully dressed up when doing it, you'll overheat. Then I put the Range Suit on. Nice, legs are warm, this is going to be a good night. But within an hour and a half I was pretty cold. Admittedly, I didn't layer up underneath it. Dumb, but the reviews said this was a very warm suit. My back was especially cold. I tried again a few weeks later, temps were about 20. But this time I put long underwear bottoms on and a nice think sweater. I stayed warm for about 2 hours. I was getting chilled, the back again, so I put a bulky fleece on over the sweater. So yes, I'm happy with the build quality and all but a little disappointed with the warmth. Yes, I could have bought a more expensive suit. But I was buying a value suit, just like I did 20 years ago from Cabela's. My Expedition parka and pants is extremely warm. Shame that somehow, over the last 20 years, the pants shrunk. Couldn't be that I got bigger, could it? Nahhh, the pants must have shrunk. Would I recommend this? Yes, but with the caveat to bulk up underneath, and that probably means going 1 size larger. I worry about the height then, but I'm sure it will work out."

Snowy Range Suit,February 20, 2008
By Mtnfiremanfrom Darrington, WA
"I have used this suit up snowshoeing in 15 degrees and plowing snow on my quad at 30 degrees, both with minimum base layer, and never did get cold. Freedom of movement, even with a heavy pack, was excellent. It was heavier than I expected. Well worth it's price."

keepin warm catchin fish,January 28, 2008
By Anonymousfrom Northeast, PA
"This was a great purchase for the price. I was able to stay warm all day with great comfort. The only thing I have to complain about was the pockets. Both of my pockets had holes in them from the store. Since I ordered online and live an hour away from the store I just had my wife stitch the pockets. I can live with that, I just hope my next purchase has better craftsmanship."
