Marlin 1895,January 8, 2009
By Alphonsofrom Liberty MO
"This sight mounts right where your thumb goes on the wrist of the stock and interferes with your grip. This might work fine on a Winchester, but is is extremely awkward and uncomfortable on the Marlin lever action. This item was returned."

Lyman Tang Sight,November 21, 2006
By Mansefrom South Carolina
"I am shooting a Marlin 1894 in .357 Magnum for my Cowboy Shooting. After trying out a friends Winchester with the Tang Sight, I had to have one for myself. The Lyman Tang Sight was exactly what I was looking for.
When I received the sight from Cabela's, I read the instructions and they were very easy to understand. Installing the sight was not as difficult as I thought. It would require a drilled and tapped hole to be added to the rifle Tang. If you measure twice and drill once you will be fine. Take your time as you don't want to make a mistake! Mine turned out fine and the new Tang Sight really makes a difference in my shooting. Using a Tang Sight, your eye automatically aligns the rear sight with front sight for an accurate shot. Also, Being a little older than some, my eyes do not see the barrel mounted sights as good, but with the Lyman Tang Sight, I can shoot fine."

By SkinnyPfrom Texas
"I put one on my Winchester 94.
This sight is easier and more accurate than the stock rear sight. I did have to drill and tap the front mounting hole. My rifle is a 2005 production Winchester
