"Bought these and Accubond 165's. Load for load the CTs had tighter groups than the accubond, grouping just over 1" at 200 yards from my 20" barrelled savage 30.06. On my October British Columbia Rocky Mountain Bighorn sheep hunt, one shot at 200 yards, bullet penetrated front shoulder, top of heart, both lungs, and existed. Ram never got up from his bed. That's a 300 lb barrel chested animal. I'm going to buy as many of these bullets as I can find ASAP!!

"I have been using nosler bullets for years and they have yet to let me down. My wife and I have used the ballistic silvertips on everything from white tail to mulies as well as antelope. This past year she took a good bull elk with nosler accubond. These shoot to the same point of aim as the ballistic tips, so no rezeroing is necessary. These are out of a .300 win mag- 70 grains of IMR 4350 is a very accurate load out of her A-bolt as well as my Encore/"

"I order many things from Cabela's and they always deliver the correct items on time, or earlier than when they say they will. These Nosler Ballistic Silvertip bullets are very accurate and a good buy for the money. For small/medium sized deer like the Axis here in Hawaii, they work great. Sometimes quite a bit of meat is damaged, as the bullet practically explodes, but they usually drop right where hit, or only go a little way. There are lots of stories of people using other bullets on Axis deer, and the deer run a LONG way (and can be hard to find in the thick, thorny keawe trees)."

.308 168 gr CT Ballistic Silvertip,August 25, 2008

"I shot two bucks this year with the 168 grain CT Ballistic Silvertip in my Remington model 7 in .308. I loaded them in front of 44 grains of Varget. They grouped around 1.25 inches at 100 yards out of my model 7, but that wasn’t bad considering it’s a lightweight short non-floated barrel in a non-bedded stock. The Federal 168 grain match factory ammo gave me the same results at 100 yards. I made both shots from around 125 yards: The first was on a small forkey quartering away and the second was on a large 3 pointer quartering toward. The first shot entered on the rear left side of the rib cage and exited through the right-front shoulder leaving a quarter sized exit wound. The second shot entered the left front shoulder and came to rest on the right rear of the rib cage. The recovered bullet had core-jacket separation, which I would have expected after destroying the shoulder bones. Both deer went about 10 yards before they were done. This bullet did the job, but I have had better results with the TSX in my 25-06. I will be loading the tipped TSX for next year if I use my .308."

"I have been using Nosler Ballistic tip rifle bullets since the early 90's. I weigh all my bullet tips before I load them and Nosler has always given consistency that varies by only 0.1 of a grain. The 165 grain and 180 grain tips perform well on PA whitetails ususally resulting in one shot kills. Nosler will always recieve my vote as a company that produces excellent reloading components."

"these bullets are great to shoot. I was abel to get a group less than a 1/2 inch at 100 yds thats 3 shots I was using 168 gr in my 300 short mag. 68.5 gr imr 4350 i would recomend this to try at least 1 box to reload. Il be useing this load to hunt for deer and elk this year il let you know how it goes. Make sure to run a patch down the barrel every few shots."

"Second time i have used these bullets with poor results!Very good accuracy but poor knockdown and penetration,be ready for a lot of hamberger with this bullet.If you clip any bone going in be ready for some tracking or second shot,one carabu and antelope has convinced me.None of this was due to poor bullet placement as i am sure some will say,one quatering front shoulder and one broadside direct behind shoulder but all hit bone going in.OH!.270 WCF 130 gr.-58GR. RL22 was load."

"amazing at 100 or 1000 yards. im shooting a Savage model 12 vlss 7mm mag. with a 140 gr. and wow the accuracy is KILLER! the gun is good but the bullet totally made it a tack driver! The only down side is the expansion. if you want to hunt and keep the meat from the shoulders take a neck shot. (the bullet nearly explodes) A very solid product."
