CT Ballistic Silvertip bullets are designed for long-range accuracy and stability. The hunting and varmint bullets are aerodynamically efficient, impact extruded and have boattail designs to maximize their accuracy over long distances. In varmint weights they are constructed for instantaneous, violent expansion. In hunting weights, the jackets have been thickened and cores hardened to blend generous expansion with penetration. The result is a bullet that's ideal for light and medium game at extended ranges. A steamlined polycarbonate tip resists deformation in the magazine, while the thin jacket mouth opens easily and peels uniformly to the rear for reliable, long-range and low velocity expansion. The Lubalox® exterior coating reduces fouling, pressure and friction between a bullet and bore, providing longer barrel life, easier cleaning and enhanced accuracy.
