Nosler Partition® bullets deliver accuracy, controlled expansion and
weight retention. This bullet is ideal for use on any game and in any
situation. The fully tapered jacket ruptures instantly at the thin jacket mouth,
yet the gradual thickening along the bullet's axis controls expansion and curls
the jacket uniformly outward. A special lead alloy dual core construction
provides superior mushrooming characteristics at virtually all impact
velocities, and Nosler's integral partition supports the expanded mushroom and
still retains the rear lead alloy core. A special crimp locks in the rear core
section to provide strength to resist deformation under the pressure of heavy
magnums. The enclosed rear core retains more than half the original bullet
weight for deep penetration. Per 50. Made in USA.

Nosler Partitions,October 10, 2009
By Firecopsterfrom Northern Colorado
"I use this bullet in a .280 Remington and load it over 50 grains of IMR4350. Very deadly for elk out to 300 yards. The Partition doesn't open up well in ranges less than 50 yards, but otherwise a shot into the boiler room means a dead elk."

"Excellent bullet! I have taken several deer with it. Blood trails and recovery distance are both very good. Can't go wrong, as long as you put it in the "boiler room"."

X-Bolt and Partition,February 28, 2009
By Timfromvafrom Dugspur,VA
"I am shooting x-bolt Browning, 7mm-wsm, I Tried a few different bullets but could not get them to group less than about 1 1/2in.
I tried different powders, but nothing would do any better than about 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 group with a flier once in a while.
1 1/2in group at 100yd. is ok but I wanted better. Got a box of 150 gr. Partitions.
I put the first batch over 64 gr. of RL-19 and the first 5, yes I said 5, shots, went into one ragged hole.
I tried the load again later and it done the same thing.
I guess I know what I will be huntin with this fall!!"

Excellent Round,November 15, 2008
By 7mmRemHunter
"I purchased the 160 grain partitions for my 7mm mag. With 60 grains of reloader 19 behind them I was obtaining 1 inch groups at 150 yards. The bullets also held up extremely well during my integrity testing. Looking forward to trying them on elk next fall!"

nosler partition bullets,October 13, 2008
By ryano
"nosler partition bullets are the most devastating bullets ever created. In a world of ballistic hunters, I would like to propose something a little contradictory. The ballistic tip is a hard bullet that either zips straight through a light skinned deer, provided it doesn't hit bone. Or if it does hit bone it tends to explode or split apart. While there is nothing as accurate as a ballistic type bullet, I have and have known people to lose deer because of the previous stated reasons. The partition, however, will not fail to open up if it doesn't hit bone, and if it does hit bone this durable bullet will hold together like no other. I use this bullet in my 7 mm mag and have shot up to 300 yrds away, through the front shoulders, and it has still drilled a hole slam through the deer dropping them in their tracks!"

No Worries,December 23, 2007
By zebrahunterfrom TN
"We've had excellent success with the 160 gr Partition. I've used it in my 280 Remington for years. Short, heavy blood trails, exit wounds, and no bullets recovered after more than 15 whitetails. When it came time to choose a bullet for my wife's zebra hunt, we used the same 160 gr bullet loaded to 2,500 fps in a 7mm-08. One shot at 125 yards. The bullet sheared the arteries over the heart and exited. The stallion traveled 50 yards, leaving the characteristic heavy blood trail. Bullet integrity and shot placement trump everything else. Stick with this bullet and you'll never have to worry."

12 one shot kills,July 21, 2007
By 7mmwsmMS
"I load 160gr partitions in Winchester brass with 66.0gr of R-22. CCI 250 primers. Grouping for 3 shots is moa or less everytime from my 7mm wsm Featherweight. MV holds right around 3000fps. 12 one shot kills with this load. Two mulies between 250 and 300 yards, a cow elk at 150 yards, and the rest were whitetails at various ranges. An animal has never gone more than 50 yards after being hit. I have never recovered a bullet, which tells me that it is doing exactly what it should everytime. Shoots great, opens up and drives through. What else can you ask for?"

175 gr. Spitzer bullets on African plain's game,November 21, 2006
By MountainMan41from Germantown, MD
"In April/May of 2006, I took my 7mm STW, Remington 700 to South Africa. My backup weapon was a .375 H&H magnum, Winchester model 70.
For the STW I was using Nosler Partition, 175 grain Spitzer bullets on top of 72.0 grains of H-1000 and Winchester large rifle magnum primers. At the range this combo was showing a mv of 2,696'/sec. (average of 10 rounds fired), with 3 shot groups at 100 yds all grouping in a 1.25" circle.
While on Safari, using these reloads I took a CSI record book Greater kudu at 165 yds and a Red Hartebeest at 220 yds. Both were one-shot kills. Bullet retention for both averged 83.7%.
Unfortunately, the zebra my hunting partner hit, using my weapon and bullets, did not go down after being hit in the right shoulder. We tracked him for 8 hrs. and lost him....lots of bright red blood was found, but he was just too tough for us. Two days later we found him 75 yds from where I downed a trophy Water Buck with my .375 H&H mag. Upon examnation of the zebra, it was clear that the impact zone was such that a 175 gain bullet should of killed him almost out-right. In retrospect, he should of used my 375 H&H. Chalk one up for experience."
