MT050 Gortex Whitetail extreme,April 21, 2009
By JBonhamfrom West Virginia
"Absolutely light weight, comfortable with extreme freedom of movement, warm and dry. All without a lot of bulk. By far the best product I have ever used. Well worth the money if you plan to be in the woods regardless of the weather. The weather tends to change quickly here in WV during deer season often wet and hovering around the freezing mark. Sometimes in the teens in the morning warming quickly in the afternoon. This clothing compresses extremely well to go in my pack for the warmer times. With this clothing I feel well prepared."

"Got tired of my insulated overalls cause they are getting tight. So, I bought the seperate pants and jacket. More flexibility with seperate pieces. Supper warm while sittling in the tree and the gortex keeps out the cold wind. Great for real cold climates and late season hunts. No need to wear thermals underneath. I just slip them over my pants. Have not worn them in the rain but took the garden hose and wet them down a good bit and did not feel any wet inside. Gortex is expensive but worth it. I can now double my time in the field hunting."

"Great pair of pants. Very comfortable and quiet enough to spot & stalk. Wore for the first time and with wind and sleet in cold weather, I was dry and warm WITHOUT a baselayer. Planning a cold weather hunt in Feb and have the confidence I will be fine. Ordered the jacket when I got home."

"Just recently got back from elk hunt in WYO and weather was in lo 20's in am and warmed up to 30's by pm. Great for sitting and riding ATV's in the cold climate. Would not recommend if have to do any extensive walking as you will build up a sweat. Excellent product for still hunting!"
"Just like the parka. Another winner with one hole back as to the lenght being offered only in 32'. If you have a 30" insean you will find yourself stepping or tripping on the cuff. One size does not fit all"
"I live in Canada and used these pants for the entire 2007 hunting season. These pants are extemely warm, quiet, and comfortable, but I only gave them 4 stars because they would be better if they had a zip-out insulation liner because I found them to be too hot and they made me sweat a lot while walking.
"I purchased this pair of pants to go elk hunting in Oregon. As it turned out, I didn’t were them. (Did not get cold enough or wet enough) I however wore them on a bass fishing trip in December in far northern California. I can say I stood on a bass boat all day long with the wicked combination of ½ rain ½ snow with about a 15 mph north wind and did not get cold or wet! Needless to say I am very impressed with these pants, as far as I am concerned these pants paid for themselves in one fishing trip."
WISCONSIN WHITE TAIL,December 25, 2007
By SLO45from HUNTING THE CALIFORNIA DESERT
"I USED THESE EXTREMELY DRY AND WORM PANTS THIS YEAR IN WISCONSIN DEER HUNTING. I NOTICED THE INSEAM CUT IS SOME WHAT LONG AND THEY TURNED OUT A LITTLE LONG. LOVE THE ZIPPERS AND THE CLOTH THEY ARE MADE FROM, IT GATHERS SOME LITTLE STICKER, BUT COMES OUT GOOD. I WILL SUGGEST THAT ALL HUNTING IN COLD WEATHER BE DONE IN THESE PANTS..........!"
Attention Ladies!!!,November 30, 2006
By Lovestohuntfrom PA and love to go hunting with my husband
"Ladies, I know the MT050 Whitetail Extreme Insulated Pants are made for men, but you have to try them. The waist may be a little big (since we have hips) but, that's not a bad thing. There is plenty of room to tuck in your heavy shirts and the rubber-like bands on the waistband help keep your shirt in place. There are two deep pockets in the front and also a side leg pocket. The fleece lining is very soft and comfortable. I love the long leg zippers that go up past the knee, which makes putting them on over your boots very easy. I paired the pants with the Cabela's GORE-TEX MT050 Whitetail Extreme Insulated Parka (a "must have") and had a winning combination. I wore these on a mule deer hunt in Utah, a cold day fall turkey hunting and deer hunting in Pennsylvania. It was the warmest (I get cold easily), and most comfortable hunting outfit I have ever owned. I feel this was the best investment in hunting clothes I have made in years."
"These pants I bought for my husband and he loves them infact two of his elk hunting buddies are also getting a pair for next year. They keep you warm and dry and they are very comfortable."
warm n' tough,November 20, 2006

"In preparation for a high country mule deer hunt in Wyoming, I began to browse through my Cabelas catalog and spotted the Cabela's Gore Tex white tail extreme insulated pants.
The outfitter had recommended "wool pants" for my hunt at the end of October above Cody, Wyoming.
I decided I would give the White tail Extreme a try on a mule deer hunt!
All I can say is I am glad i did! The temperature in the mountains was 0-20 degrees the entire week!
The horse back riding, the hiking over dead fall trees and the constant exposure to all the elements I remained warm and dry!
I have never been more impressed with a product!
Next year I will buy another pair for my son when he gets a chance to chase after a high country trophy."
