The Finest big-game clothing you can buy!,November 15, 2009
By Unsatisfied56from Washington State
"Bought this product and the bibs several years ago expecting, as advertised, a quiet warm outfit for late season bow hunting. Haven't had a change to use it until this late season. To my suprise the outer shell is very scratchy or noisy in the brush. When pulling the bow you can hear the inner liner, I assume the gore-tex, crinkle and crumble in the sleeve. Any of you bow hunters out there realize these little noises is a real deal breaker in the close distance of bow hunting. I would highly discourage any bow hunter from wasting there money on this product."

Very nice!,November 9, 2009
By Birdhunterohiofrom Ohio
"I am into my second season with this set, pants, parka, boots, and gloves. They have simply performed above expectations and would not go to another set. I have had several hunting buddies that have ordered several cheaper sets and regret doing so. They commented that "they wish they would have spent the extra in the beginning and only had to get one set". I told them what they spent in cheaper sets they could have gotten the set that I had. As anyone knows who sits in a tree stand all day in cold weather it is difficult to keep warm and dry this set does both."

warm, but fitting off a little,September 5, 2009
By GENERALISTfrom NC
"overall, good. I had a to trade a few to ge the sizing right. I find they fit a little small for size, so maybe go up one. I definaltey find the sleeves too short, so if you have normal to long arms, maybe try a tall. Waterproof and warm enough for lower 48 winter hunting."

Good at any price but better when caught on sale.,February 20, 2009
By czbrat49from Washington County, Alabama
"It finally got cold enough in the deep south to put this jacket to the test and it passed with flying colors. It is so light that I was slightly skeptical about how warm it would be. After several hours of sitting still in near freezing temps, I was still warm in the core. Great jacket and my wife told me she even got it on sale as a Christmas present for me. She also got me a pair of bibs; she really loves me.
Last point to make is how quite it is. This was a complaint I always had about my old jacket."

Whitetail Extreme,January 31, 2009
By mat04
"Cabela's gore-tex whitetail extreme clothing is truly the best big game hunting clothing you can buy! I use this gear in the extreme hunting conditions of newfoundland for moose, caribou, and black bears. No clothing will keep you any warmer or dryer in harsh conditions. Would recomend this clothing to anyone."

great but some issues,January 21, 2009
By littleparefrom Rutland Vermont
"Bought this jacket last year, used it 4 times for deer season, warm in all conditions, waterproof, and air tight. Would purchase again. Had an issue with the hood stitching coming out and the buttons tore away from the jacket in extreme cold. Sent back to Cabelas and got a brand new one in days. Great return policy on their products."

Long Term Review 3 years use,January 19, 2009
By DTJMRfrom Missouri
"OK, I waited to post this review 3 years. Being brief, I hunt in north/west MO (20' up a tree). Often times snow, ice and wind are a daily occurance. I've tried several other parkas (and pants/bibs) before I bought this product. I can truly say this Parka does the job. It's not a light coat (bought the matching pants also), but you will stay warm with a good set of long underwear and a sweater.
The fabric is also very quiet and soft.
Wind is also not an issue, nor light to mid rain/snow. I can stay in stand as long as I want (thats the key right?). Pair this with a good set of PAC boots and good socks, and you will be set. Cheap, no.. What good is the trip though if you freeze out. I also reccomend the MT50 gloves. PS the scentloc lining option (I included) works very well (as well as my Dream Season light weight stuff).
Again, cheap no.. Great product, without doubt. You will not be disappointed with anything except the cost."

Still Got Cold,January 6, 2009
By Shammydawg
"While the jacket was a big improvement, when the wind was howling, I still got chilled. While walking through the brush, I was worried the thorny bushes were going to rip the jacket shell.
But, it's a very comfortable and mostly warm jacket."

Best parka ever,January 2, 2009
By JWAG72000from Central Pa.
"I have owned this set for 5 seasons now and wouldn't trade it for anything except a newer set. It works from mid to late archery all the way through late extended season. I sit for most of my hunting including heavy rain and snow and I rarely get a chill."

whitetail extreme parka,December 18, 2008
By hahoriofrom Alaska
"i returned this because after seeing it, it was to much thinsulate for the kinda hunting i do. i thought i would get way to hot hiking around in this coat and the pants. weather around here is 20's-40's during hunting season. decided to go with no insulation. would gave it 5 stars but thought it was a little expensive."

Warm & Dry,December 15, 2008
By wecbear
"This parka is very warm and can be used with multiple layers underneath to -15. There is a lot room to shoot a rifle or bow very comfortably without binding. The length is a big plus relative to its predecessor which was very warm, but just a jacket."

worth the money,December 9, 2008
By Anonymousfrom Massacheusetts
"Recently purchased this parka and used it several mornings where the temeprature was below 15 degress even down to -5. The parka is very warm and has ample pockets. The two vertical pockets on the chest are perfect for inserting the larger handwarmers in for added heat. Hood is a little tight but I only pull it up when it's raining or snowing. Could use a shell holder in one of the pockets. Pretty good briar resistance on the outer shell. No issues with binding in the elbows or chest even with multiple layers on underneath."

"THe first day of deer season was about 30 degrees did not keep me warm in my tree stand all day. Buy something cheaper and a good set of layering underwear. One of the snaps pulled out on the storm flap. I hope Cabelas will repalce it."
