"Great socks, warm and don't shrink in the washer/dryer. Don't itch! Ultra comfortable and ultra warm I've thrown the rest of my winter socks into the rag bin. These socks beat all--I love ragg wool socks, I've been wearing them for years, and these are, honestly, the best, with all of the benefits of ragg wool and none of the downsides (shrink when you wash them, itch, get funny fur balls inside). I'd recommend them to anyone who suffers from chronically cold feet."

"These are among the VERY BEST-- Wool is the only true warmth in the great North East, and these are GREAT socks! I'm a large lady, with a larger than "usual" sized brother to buy for as well.... Can't buy rib cuffs that bind or get "tighter" as the day goes on -- THESE DON'T BIND and it they're GRRRRRRRRREAT!!!!!! I wear an 11 B-C shoe. I buy the largest size sock available and that insures that the ribbing is as wide as they have available... for 2 reasons- 1.) the cuff and the stretch allowance as wide as I can get, and 2.) I often wash in hot water, and throw them in the dryer-- the extra size can shrink a bit, and no harm done. I've washed these, and shrinkage does not seem to be a problem. I give these SIX STARS!!!!!! A+++! GREAT SOCKS!!!!"

"This is the second pair I have bought and the first pair was quite satisfactory. I especially need socks that don't bind at the top as most hiking socks do.With repeated washings they became rather fuzzy but I still like them OK. I like the greyish color better than the beige color of other ragg socks and they fit fine. I wish they came in more colors."

"For two decades I've worn ragg wool socks of this style every day, except when occasionally having to dress up in a suit or blazer. Needing to rebuild my supply (none ever bought at Cabela's before), I saw these in the catalog and decided to try them. Bought three pair and found them so much better than anything I've ever had before, I bought three more pair. I've never thought of socks as a 'joy', but these are outstandingly so - and my older socks from other suppliers are just junk compared to them."

"Just used these socks on my first snowmobile adventure and the temp was very low with lots of wind. I had some good boots but these socks were comfy and very warm. I did use the Cabela inner liner to wix away perspiration if I perspired at all. A plus."

"These socks are the BEST by far of all the wool socks I have tried. They keep you warm and toasty, but at the same time they "wick" away any moisture (sweat) that may build up after a bit of hiking around.
If you have gore-tex type waterproof boots, you need these socks to make the most of those boots. Other cotton or even synthetic wool blends can't breathe the way these Merino Wool socks can. Trust me, it makes a world of difference!!

"I am wearing these socks for the first time today in the middle of a blizzard. Not only are they soft and comfy, but very warm. I was concerned about the size, but after reading other reviews, decided to order the medium since I wear a 7 shoe. I am a sock freak (where them all year round) and am totally thrilled with my purchase. My only complaint is that I ordered 2 pair and was sent a size XL by mistake, so now I am waiting for the correct one to arrive. My husband and I are CLUB Visa holders and buy a lot from Cabela's. "These are my favorite socks! They are so soft and warm. I wear them all winter, and in summer I wear them to hike with a light polypro sock on the inside.
