Great shoe,

"This is the 4th pair of these shoes I have purchased. They are a great shoe for the money. I have worn then to work and to many outdoor activities when I needed to keep my feet dry. They have never failed me. This last pair was a little harder to break in than before, but no big deal. Will probably buy another pair when I wear out this pair."

"Absolutely the most uncomfortable pair of shoes that ever wore holes in my feet. My first pair, years ago, were wonderful. I bought another pair and I am sorry that I did. After a full week of wearing my heals raw and my toes going numb, I didnt even take them back I threw them away."

"These shoes were ordered for my husband and we had the hardest time finding a pair that actually fit the first pair (his normal shoe size) were a little tight his second pair ordered were way too big the third still not right and finally the forth we took in to a shoe repair store and they finally have it right. The shoe repair store said that the arch support was not in the shoe properly. Also it describes the shoe as one that won't pick up dirt. However, the sole does pick up lots of dirt. Otherwise it is a well made shoe that should hold up very well."

"I have had these shoes for about a month and I have been very impressed. When I first recieved them I was not so sure weather I liked the way the leather looked. After a week or so of wearing them the leather seemed to grow on me and I really like the shoes. Infact I will be buying a second pair again very soon. They are very well made and sturdy. My brother and father both really like my shoes and they both just ordered a pair for themselves."

Seem nice but hurt my feet,

"I ordered these shoes along with the Cabelas Basin Plain Toe oxford and the Irish Setter/Cabelas Legends to see which shoe fit the best, looked good, and felt the most durable. Immediately after trying these shoes on I knew they were not the one - they kind of hurt my feet up by the laces and around the collar. They look to be a good shoe, but try them on in the store before buying them.
The Irish Setter/Cabelas Legends looked the best and felt reasonable durable, but the size I needed fit oddly in the toe (way too wide and long for a 10D). On the contrary, the size 9.5D was too small, so they were sent back. I don't know if I just happen to get a size 10D which was a lemon, or if they just don't have the dies cut right for that size. Nice shoe, but try them on in the store to be sure of the fit before buying.
The Cabelas Basin oxford fit great from the beginning, is the most sturdy, and is stiff enough that I can tell will take a few weeks to break in and will be with me for a long time. These are the keepers!"

"I am extremly pleased with these shoes. I also have a pair of the slip on's and they are equally as comfortable. I wear these to work every day. The leather holds up well and cleans up beautifully. Squeaking shoes,

"I have worn this style for ten years. I purchase them because their fit is perfect for me. But I suspect that somewhere along the way, the manufacturer has changed.
I like the fit and the look and, of course, the core-TeX.
But I have also noticed that after about a month of wearing them..and I wear them every day...they start to "squeak"...an off and on, annoying, loud squeak.
I have also noticed that the soles wear out in about one year to 14 months. Whereas the same shoes I bought a few years ago lasted much longer.
Frankly, I doubt I will be buying this product again and that is a disappointment. I have always been satisfied with Cabela's products and service, both online and in-store.
