Adjust a Grill,
November 18, 2009
By nunner

"I have used this adjust a grill while camping in October, and it worked great. The only draw back was the 24" stake was not long enough. Purchased a 5/8" x 36" stainless steel rod and it made a world of difference."

Campfire grill,
April 13, 2009
By CuzinStumpy
from Poconos, PA
|
"Great for camping. As mentioned in other rewiews, the length of the steel post is too short. It comes with a 24" post, but really needs to be about 48''. Once hammered into the ground, and taking into consideration the height of the fire pit, the 24" just doesn't cut it. We bought a 48" post at the hardware store that works fine. It is an excellent idea, and we're very happy with our purchase."

worked well but could use improvements,
November 1, 2008
By AMCKoontz

"Used it for our Elk hunting season. Worked really well but as previous reviews have stated it needs to have a longer steak. Knowing that i had made my own and found that a 36 in steak is sufficient. Overall a great idea but could use upgrades to make it even better. Would like to see it slightly larger. 24 in. instead of 16 in. would also be a welcomed change."

"A went to a steel supply shop to get a taller post. I found that after my first usage, that I had to pound that post pretty far into the ground for stability, thus the grill was really close to the fire."

Awesome product!,
October 21, 2008
By Bowhunter1554

"I have had my Adjust-A-Gill for about a month now and have used it several times on my backyard firepit and on several camping trips where a firepit was supplied, ie campground. This is an excellant product. I have cooked steaks, hamburgers, brats and even rotated the grill and used a piece of rebar in the top horizontal bracket to hang a crock of chili to cook over the open fire. My only complaint is the rod supplied to secure the grill into the ground with is not long enough for your average size firepit. It would work great if you use it over an open fire like is shown on the box, but once you get a firepit that has some height to sides this rod won't work or work as intended. The easy fix is to go and get a 4' long piece of rebar at your local hardware and use it in place of the supplied rod. Works great since doing this."

"I bought this for my back yard fire pit. It took seconds to install and adjust and we have already used it to grill hotdogs directly on it. Swings out of the way so we can have s'mores. Easy to pull up to take to another camp spot."

Adjust-A-Grill,
August 31, 2008
By philbert3123
from Milwaukee, WI

"Wow! Just picked up this grill today. I was leary after reading some of the reviews, my main concern was the "too short" rod that goes into the ground. I found it to be plenty long. I'm guessing some of the reviewers wanted to put the grill directly over a roaring campfire. I've catered events where the tablefare was grilled over coals & embers so I have an idea as to how to do it. I started a good campfire, pulled out 3 white/glowing logs & set them under the grill (or you could just spread out the firewood). It worked GREAT! I love the swinging feature as well. My wife & I thought we'd keep the big kettle grill for parties. After my experience with this quality product today I think I'll just pick up another Adjust-A-Grill & get rid of the space-hogging kettle grill (the Adjust-A-Grill folds up to 16"X16"X2", I'll hang it on the garage wall when not in use). As for sloppy welding: I'm not a metal worker but I thought it was well-built & extreemly sturdy. It almost reminds me of the permanent cast iron grills one would see in a public park. I'm guessing I'll be using this grill for many years to come. This product has surpassed my expectations & will be recommended to everyone I know. Enough for now, gotta go out & get some more hickory.:)"

A LITTLE SHORT,
August 12, 2008
By Farmer7722
from Ohio Farm Country

"Excellent grill in almost all respects. I would have liked the pole the grill slides on to be 12 to 18 inches longer. I use it with a somewhat portable fire pit purchased through Cabellas. Since my fire is not on the ground the grill sits too close to the top of the fire. I had to have a longer pole made to solve the problem. If your fire is on the ground you will not have this problem."
