Our Pro Guide Systems Vest is the most technologically advanced blaze vest ever developed. We started with a shell crafted of 100% polyester warp knit. This material is super-soft, ultra-quiet and incredibly tough.
And the extremely low nap won't collect burrs, seeds and other clingy vegetation. Plus it's quick drying and resists pilling, even after repeated washings and wear. A smooth 100% polyester micro-denier lining slides on easily over bulky layers. The vest front has two large, zippered cargo pockets and two snap-close, snap-adjustable bellows pockets with handwarmer pockets behind.
Two side water bottle pockets carry enough water to keep you hydrated, even on early season warm-weather hunts. Two interior security pockets are perfect for licenses, maps and other valuables. The rear boasts an upper snap-close cargo pocket and a large lower zippered cargo pocket.
On the exterior of the lower pocket, two nylon straps with quick-snap buckles create an ideal place for stowing bulky extra clothing. The blood-proof rear game bag has a zippered top for easy loading, and is snap-adjustable to accommodate load size. It also has quilted shoulder patches, a rear license loop and a three-button front. Machine washable. Imported. Chest sizes: M-3XL. Camo patterns: Blaze Orange, Blaze Horizon.

Decent Vest,September 9, 2009
By TexasTopherfrom Ponder, Texas
"Nice vest overall, pockets were handy & I used the tie straps on back for my heavy jacket when it got hot. The weight of this vest is where it lost two stars. I wore for a Caribou hunt and would have liked something lighter for layering. I kept it for fall bird hunting in Texas, maybe the weight won't be as much of an issue. Oh and the best thing was... no one took a shot at me!"

"Great vest, lots of pockets with plenty of room for everything you need in the field. Some nice little spots for those little things not to get lost in the big pockets. GREAT BUY for your money.

Guide Vest,January 20, 2009
By Robcramfrom Pa
"This is the first thing I grab every time I go Hunting. I keep packable rain gear in the pockets and ice cleats in the game pouch a fleece coat in the staps on the rear of the vest. I hunt in pa where the weather is changing everytime you turn around awsome design especially in late flintlock season where you have added gear. Buy one."

Only for One Flaw,January 4, 2009
By Stilhunter27from New York,NY
"I have been and will continue to use this vest well into the future and I will buy a back up in case this one rips. I purchased an oversized vest last visit to a Cabela's store and love this product. I still hunt primarily (if you couldn't figure that out by my name), this vest is perfect for back country hunting where you know you are coming out of the woods and won't be needing a pack. Its also ideal for snow and dry ground trackers as well. You can fit all your essentials including any and all you put in a pack. One can strap extra clothing layers on the straps included. You can stick seat pads in the large game pocket in back (which is what I do in the field for a sit) It allows freedom of movement and is light and well distributes the weight you carry. It also forces you not to overload yourself with junk. A hunter can hunt all day with it and not feel like you hauled a safe on your shoulders all day. The only flaw it has is the zipper provided for the game pocket. On occasion you may find it necessary to carry one extra layer of clothes in that game pocket and the zipper tends to open while walking. I had my significant other sew that puppy shut and now the vest is perfecto for my purposes."

"This Vest is very good and it had most pockets that I want it and especially for the zip pockets keep stuff safe for not drop something in the forest, if you put this style of Blaze for waterproof material GotexT050 or some giet material, it would be better, because we hunt most time wet or snow.
Thanks.

vest,December 8, 2008
By gcomfrom Scottsdale, AZ
"This vest is hard for me to review since I returned it for a different one. The vest was quite large and heavier than I expected when ordering online. It was very well made however, and had lots of storage room. I was looking for something a little smaller and lighter. If big, spacious, well made and heavy is your thing, this is the vest for you."

Cabela's Pro Guide Vest,November 18, 2008
By 1broadhead4elkfrom Vancouver, Washington
"All the pockets go to the bottom of the vest and the gear stowed in them is not restrained. All the items drop right down to the hem and move around while walking. The back zipper wouldn't stay fastened. The vest soaks up rain and becomes much heavier."

Cabela's Pro Guide Vest,November 13, 2008
By johnboy037from jersey shore, but I hunt fish all over east coast
"I just returned from a 10 day deer/bear hunt in Maine. The vest performed well. It's ample supply of pockets made it a snap to carry all the "stuff" one needs for a day's hunting. Although, I believe, it is a little pricey, it seems to be worth it after you consider the Cabela's satisfaction guarantee. Order your normal size if you wear light layered clothes. If you plan to wear a heavy coat, order one size larger. The straps on the back are good for carrying raingear or additional clothing as you heat up while "stalking" and will need those additional clothes to put on when you stop and stand hunt."

Nice vest,October 27, 2008
By swany30from Colorado
"Vest has all the pockets you could ever need, almost too many. Built strong, should take all the abuse hunting in the mountains can dish out. A little warm for early season muzzleloader use in the heat of the day but, feels great on cold mornings though and you have plenty of space to stash underlayers until you return to camp."

No need for a back pack anymore,October 19, 2008
By Albrectfrom Norway
"This vest is very much what i bean looking for. Now i dont need to carry a back pack anymore. The vest has så much space and pockets for all my gear and ammo. Even space for the game. However there is rom for one inprovemeant and that is a better looking on the greender for the game pocket on the back. Because with heavy load or many birds inn it the greender starts to opend."

Allen,March 25, 2008
By Rem600from Slingerlands, NY
"This is my second Pro Guide Vest. I purchased this one for my 13 year old son.
There are alot of vests on the market now but this one is by far the best. It's quiet and incredibly functional.
The vests many pockets allow me to separate my gear so I can easily find it.
There's no "Where's my dry hat and gloves?"(Inside left pocket) "Where's my gutting stuff?" (Top back pocket) etc.
It's a no nonsense vest that I can pick up and go with. Knowing everything is in there and it's where I can find it.
If you spend alot of time in the woods and you need a new hunting vest - buy this one. You won't be disappointed."

Cabela's Pro Guide™ Blaze Systems Vest,March 17, 2008
By stratmanfrom Spokane, WA
"The vest is an excellent system. It replaces the need for a day pack. Suggested improvement: Two straps (one at the top and one toward the bottom) that connect in the center would relieve stress on the buttons and allow a person to keep the vest open and not slide off your shoulder in hot weather."
