"I bought a larger diameter rope to use and put it on the gripper instead of using the smaller rope because of reviews I had read about those with larger boats. I have a 20 foot bass boat and it held the boat well in 20mph winds with gust to 25. So I believe it is going to be great and I got two of them so I can get the boat in a very staple position."

"The brush gripper works just as described. It's easy to use and holds the boat well. I purchased two, one for the front and one for the rear. This provides the stability needed to hold the boat in place while allowing for a sturdy shot! The gripper is also easy to remove quickly when trying to get to downed waterfowl quickly floating down river. No more fumbling around with ropes and knots, just clip on and off! It's that simple! I would highly recommend this product to any duck hunter or fisherman for that matter!"

"I would really rate this product as a 3.5. The grippers work great!!! However, the rope that is vital in the use of the grippers is way to weak. My first time using one of these the rope broke. I purchased new, stronger rope and installed it in the gripper. This product now works great and holds my boat close to the shore or brush without fail. Overall...great product...just needs to improve on the quality of their rope."

"This is a top-quality product that does exactly what it is intended to do. It's very well designed, very sturdily made, and easy to use. I got the version intended for use with duck boats that is painted a subdued green. My sense is that it will be less obtrusive, but that's probably a subtle distinction. I like the design that increases its holding power as the pull on the line increases. You won't be disappointed with this item."

"This gripper works well in phragmites and salt grasses. It's a lot simpler to use than laying out (and disguising) an anchor. Late in the season when grasses are broken down to a stubble, I've even jammed the gripper into the rhizome matt of a sedge bank....still holds pretty well."

"I got this for Christmas as well as some other duck boat stuff and it works great. The Gripper can be clamped somewhere out of the way and attached to your boat that you may forget you have it, like I did several times. I finally remembered that I had them and used them the other morning instead of fumbling for with the anchors. By using the Grippers I reduced the amount of extra water getting in the boat ( from the anchors ) as well as saving a bunch of time trying to get the anchors dropped in the right location to position the boat just right.
I highly recommend the Brush Gripper for any duck hunter or River fisherman, it saves alot of time. The only short coming of the Brush Gripper is that I wish it had a bigger line. The one that comes with it will do the job but, I'm sure I will have to replace by next year."
