Bucket seat for dove hunting,
September 10, 2009
By Horns51

"Nice bucket seat for the price. I like the big pockets and the seat is comfortable. The swivel seat feels smooth but can be a little noisy at times. Also nice for keeping drinks cold on hot days of dove hunting."

Lid Issues,
September 10, 2009

"Great bucket except for the lid. I store my decoys inside and the lid is always coming off while in the back of my truck. Other than the lid, great bucket, quiet rotation, and comfortable seat."

Highly functional seat for the field,
February 9, 2009
By frankyg55
from San Diego, CA
|
"This really is not the most comfortable seat to be sitting on for a 12 hour day of hunting, but it is highly functional. It is much more comfortable if it is put on level ground (not always possible in a muddy blind). Overall, it does the job well and you can't complain about the price."

"This seat is very well made. I'm impressed with the silent motion of the turning seat, no noise whatsoever and that's with 300lbs. on it. Tall enough for for proper shot alignment from ground blinds. Wish I would have bought one long before now."

Bucket Makes The Grade,

By CARVT

"I've been using my bucket now for a month and it works well for lots of uses. I use it more at work than fishing. Remove the insert and it make a great tool carrier and comfort seat. My only complaint is the swivel seat is not silent."

Great Little Bucket,
September 9, 2008
By Mullens
from Illinois
|
"I bought one of these at the last minute for a dove hunt I was invited to. This product is wonderful. The seat swiveled nicely. The insulation in the cooler kept my doves really cold until I got home to clean them. The pockets were great for holding shells and spent hulls. I was able to separate my lunch and gatorade from the bag o' doves thanks to the top and bottom compartment separation. I would give this product 5 stars if it came with it's own cooler pack."

"Great bucket. Most reviewers have complained about 4 issues, 1) the noise of the seat spinning, 2) the carry strap, 3) the cover falling down, and 4) the lack of comfort in the seat cushion. 1) The seat only makes noise when it spins and you are not sitting on it. When I'm sitting on the seat and spin, it is nearly noiseless. 2) The carry strap is a bit uncomfortable for carrying long distances or heavy loads, I simply switched it out for a more padded strap that was on an old duffel bag I wasn't using hardly ever. 3) I didn't have a problem with the cover falling off, but then I only carried shooting glasses, a small bottle of water and about 40 shells (yeah, I miss a lot), so it may be a problem if you're carrying everything and the kitchen sink in the outer pockets. 4) The seat is a bit uncomfortable after about 45 minutes of sitting.
Overall, I'm very happy with this product and have used it about 8 times this dove season. Highly recommended."

Performs reasonably well,

By API1

"Used for entire season (doves & waterfowl). Lid (seat) rim cracked once, but repaired with glue. Noisy seat bearings, but nobody sits and spins in a duck blind. Removed the foam insulation to carry more gear. Sometimes the lid pops off while walking with carry strap extended for shoulder carrying (this is tough when carrying a decoy bag, shotgun, and strap of ducks)."

Some modification required,
April 1, 2008
By JtMet
from Metairie, La
|
"My intended use for the bucket was to use it inside of a ground blind at correct height and to look through shooting windows on my left and right with minimal movement. This worked well. The cushioned seat was comfortable, the storage inside the bucket is adequate to carry and assortment of flexible decoys with the foam insert removed (intended for ice and drinks). Deficiencies are; cloth camo covering doesn't fit well it kept falling down and was difficult to pull back up, if you were not very well concealed this would be a problem as the bucket is jet black and if you loaded anything in the light weight pockets who knows. It eventually fell off. The bearings aren't that great, I could not sit on it and rotate the seat 360 degrees only about 45 degress without any noise (crunching sound) which is adequate for my intended use. If you are looking for a bucket and settle on this one get some duct tape (brown in color) wrap it around the top of the cloth cover taping it securely to the bucket and enjoy."
