"Read the previous posts and come back here for the solutions. The quality is good, the lid hinge will pop off but only if you don't open it properly. Hold your palm on the hinge apply downward force and lift the front straight up, the lid stays on every time. There is a nice space for sink to dry out, things will not fall out if you store them with a hand towel on top of your things before you close the lid. I have a full size shaving cream can, full size tooth paste, a sierra cup, full size soap, washcloth and hand towel stored in there with two razors behind the swing down mirror covered compartment, nothing falls out. The top of mine is dark grey and sink is black unlike the picture. The plugs in the bottom are fine, coat them with plumber's grease around the gasket before you trek out. I use this with my hand pump ZODI shower in my Alaknak with the Porta Privy and this works great. You could go for the foldable sink if you don't want the cool factor this product has. I had the folding sink and upgraded, now I'm pretty and smell good for the bears."

"I bought this unit because there is nothing better than getting up in the morning and washing me face and brushing my teeth. The holes for the tooth brush and razor are small, I custom cut them to work for my equipment. This really makes it nice to be around camp getting the coffe going, starting the fire,etc. Then when ready, I can hit the showers. Camping is camping, it is not like being at home. This unit is a great buy and good quality. Very pleased."

"Thought this would be useful in camp but really just a plastic tub with a bunch of holes. The lid pops off all the time, the space between the lid and the tub allows items to fall out, the holes for the accesories do not hold items like toothbrushes or razers and the other holes for larger items do not fit most items so they are effectively useless. The drain doesn't empty all the water and the fill of the sink requires the tub to be almost full of water to do so. The most useful item is the mirror and the space behind it because it has a latch to hold it shut. Not worth the sale price and I left it behind in camp because it was less effort than hauling it out."

"The plug for the drain worked good. The plug for getting fresh water into the sink is not a good design. If there is any dirty water left in the sink you risk contaminating the fresh water when you pull the plug to let clean water in. The fresh water inlet needs to be somewhere besides the bottom of the sink."

"Initially I was disappointed in the colour I thought it was going to be white as in the advertisement. But it's going to be used in the bush so that really shouldn't have been a consideration. Functionally it's great easy to set up easy to use, kids think it's great, beats going down to the river to wash and is also environmentally friendly, fish aren't terribly fond of toothpaste and soap."
