wet conditions. This boot will keep your feet dry inside and out, thanks to the 100% waterproof/
breathable GORE-TEX® membrane. Gusseted tongues block out water, scree and debris. Our
Vibram® outsoles handle steep, difficult climbing with incredible ease, and the lug patterns shed
mud and debris with each step.

"I bought a pair of the Cabela's Mountain Hikers® II Boots about four years ago. Those boots are still going strong. I just bought two more pair of these boots as a stockpile.
Here's why: Excellent support, stiff enough sole for banging around. I even wore them on the family trip to Washington D.C. with nicer clothes because they make my feet feel good. I take a narrow size, which is uncommon, and for that reason it's hard to find a good selection of footgear. Bravo, Cabela's. I will rave about these boots as long as you make them."

"I have bought at least three pair of these boots and wore them out in the mountains. Love them, but this time I had a problem. A lace loop broke the first day I wore them. Called Cabela's. They sent me a new pair the same day and I agreed to mail the "old" ones back. That is what I call service! When you wear a 12B, there are few choices, but they fit great and I love them."

"Initial fit was good, maybe a little narrow. Both boots started to have the fabric portion pull away from the leather on the inner flex point at the ball of the foot. Boots were worn maybe 5 times. Very disappointed in the quality. I had worn nothing but the meindl boot for the last 15 years, and it looks like that will continue.."

"My second pair in five years, these are one of the best values I've found in utility footwear anywhere! Light hiking, hunting, fishing the banks of the local rivers, shovelling snow or just wearing them around, they are comfortable, reliable and well made. It's amazing you can still get a product this good at a fair price. Thanks Cabela's! Don't ever discontinue these.
Oh, by the way. I have an EEE width foot. In a 10.5 size they fit perfectly. Clearly Cabela's knows there are guys out here with all five toes!"

"I can't even remember when I first purchased these boots. It has been at least 18 years. I put about 60 to 90 miles a week on these in conditions from cold, hot, wet and dry. I wear them 16 hours a day. The thing that amazes me is that I can start on a 50 degree day that is full dew and by afternoon it is 96 and humid. I will take my boot off at the end of the day and the socks are dry except where the leather collar is from the sweat. I usually get 2 pair a year due to the abuse I dish out to them (poke a hole in them with some sharp equipment). Don't stop making this boot. All the people I have convinced to try them and love them will be disappointed as well. Thanks"

"The boot construction is great and you can't beat them for comfort. The is the second pair of these I've owned, I live in hiking boots. I just wish they would come with better boot laces. The kind they come with fray and break too easily."
"Boots get a plus for coming in narrow size. Boots look good and are stylish. Boot laces could be of a higher quality (thicker/softer? with less pressure in the eyelets. Did not have heel bite but liner is thin and not adquate to cushin bottom of foot. On very uneven terrain boot tended to flex too much. Should have purchased full leather boot. Boots withstood several good soakings in wet meadows without leaking, however, the leather portion of the right boot top lost it's form and slightly collapsed toward the top of the foot. Without heavy socks this could eventually abrade the top of the foot. Most comfortable boot I have worn in some time when liner replaced with thicker/softer type and keeping to trails. Not recommended for climbing over rocks or woody debris."
