"The Bushnell Red Dot Scope is pretty much as advertised, a good red dot scope for the money. Easy to mount and sight in. Seems to hold zero well under the pounding of my 12 ga. 870 deer gun. The problem is with the mounting screws as noted in another review.The allen head screws are too soft and the supplied allen wrench is ill fitting.I got the screws tight but in the process stripped them out.Will have a hard time removing scope when the time comes. Still a good buy and would reccomend it."

"i deer hunt in Ohio had a 3-9 scope on a 12 ga. when deer are running it was hard to keep on them. last year i put this bushnell red dot on my gun , running or not, if that red dot is on there chest they are dead! very nice scope. also bot one for step dad this Christmas, 6 kills with this scope."

"The mounting brackets could be a little better. The front one is barely holding. Twice the red dot became fade but returned to normal after another shot or dialing up the intensity and then back down. The left windage is backwards compared to most every scope I have owned. I learned this the hard way and had to do the reverse to sight it in. I have a Ruger super redhawk 44 mag with 9.5 inch barrel. I hope it holds up to the punishment. This was a last minute change before hunting season so we will see."

"Bought this for my Ruger Ranch rifle, and bought 30mm Ruger rings to mount it. Bore sighted it 1" high at 50 ft, and it was on the paper at 50 yds. Dot is clear on setting #2 for outdoor range shooting. Based on my measurements, the battery is good for well over 500 hr's at this setting. This dog will hunt."

"The description never directly states the size of the rings nor the mounting rail requirements. I have a Remington SPR94 with an 11mm rail and no one seems to have a 30mm ring with and 11mm rail mount for mounting this scope! I called Bushnell directly and they were no help at all. If you need a scope for a "standard" 20mm rail this is right for you! The scope itself is clear, crisp and bright enough for most conditions."

"I really liked the fact this product came with the rings, a sun shade and lens covers. However, I mounted it on my TC Encore pistol in 7mm-08 and the scope would not hold a zero. I was dissapointed because I really liked the scope. This would make a great scope on a gun with less recoil."

"I wanted a quality, easy to use, relatively inexpensive red dot to use without having to worry about the bullet impact changing when I changed reticles. I easily mounted this on a .22LR pistol. After making a few minor adjustments I then shot 200 rounds. 20 rounds in 10 different targets. All 200 rounds went in a 3" bullseye at 25 yards. I found what I was looking for."

"I ordered this scope on Wednesday and got it Friday just in time to mount it on my 20 gauge turkey gun, sight it in, and go turkey hunting the next day. The scope felt good and solid, simple, effective. My friend thought it was great, he got a turkey the next morning with it. The tube is small but you can still see turkeys well, even with the polarizing filter on it. At the ranges you expect to see and shoot turkeys it's just perfectly sized. As others have commented, it would be nice to have had a camo model available. The one potential issue is with the color of the lens when you look in the front. I'm not sure if turkeys would be sensitive to it but the lens is bright orange/red. Makes me wonder about that. I put the polarizing filter over the front just because of that bright orange color. The filter seemed to cut the color significantly. Today's turkey didn't seem to notice... Great service from Cabela's and solid product. Thanks!"
