"I was looking for a cot that was compact enough to pack on a horse and yet sturdy and comfortable enough to be worth the weight and space it takes up on a pack animal. This cot has proven to fit the ticket perfectly. I tried a cheeper model first and wish I had bought the Big Grizzly Cot in the beginning. I highly recommend this product."

"My mom bought this for my 3 yr old daughter. We've never been able to use it. It is so poorly designed, I question whether they did any product testing whatsoever. There are only two u shaped legs. They curve in towards the cot, so the slightest bit of off centered weight causes the cot to tip completely to the ground. My husband just rigged a steel pole to one of the legs extending the width. She's now 5 and tested it several times. Hopefully, this camping trip won't end with a screaming child in the middle of the night, b/c she's laying under my cot!"

"I got two of these cots for my boys, 12 & 14 yrs old. We put them in our trailer for our camping trip. Im Husband is in Alfghanistan and it leave me to help the boys. It took us awhile to man handle the cots to put the legs on. I had to do it, even my 15yr old could not do most of it. so now they are left togeather and taking up a lot of room. other than that, the boys said they are comfrotable"

"The BIG GRIZZLY COT is a very sturdy piece of equipment. It is very large and roomy, you don't feel cramped at all. The material is comfortable and very strong as well. The only thing that makes it difficult is that it DOES NOT fold up. You either need to leave it up or completly rebuild it each time you want to use it, this makes it difficult if you want to take it camping, etc. Other than not being very compact it is a Great piece of equipment."

"I have read many of the other reviews for these cots, unfortunately after placing my order. So it was with mixed feelings that I used these on an overnight campout. I agree that they are somewhat difficult to put together for the first time, although I did learn some tricks by the third cot being setup. We did not have any issues with collapsing though. I bought the Big Grizzlies for my son & daughter-in-law. My son goes about 225 and the cot was plenty strong to support him. Overall, an excellent product."

"I have owned a big grizzly cot for about 6 years and have enjoyed it very much. I have completly wore it out. So I purchased another cot. They changed the leg design and the first time I used it, two legs collapsed. I am sending it back."

"I wouldn't buy one if you sleep on uneven ground, first time I tried in a tent on somewhat uneven ground, the aluminum pipe from the legs bent in one support, then the others followed over the next few nights. Ended up sagging in the middle to where you were lying on the ground in the middle of the cot.
I am a pretty big guy, 6 ft. 220, but I think it should have held up better than that especially the very first time you use it."

"This is a very good buy. The height of the cot is perfect for tents without much sidewall height and I use mine in the Cabela's Outfitter spike style tent. I especially like the small breakdown size which makes it easy to pack in vehicles with limited space. I'm 5'10" and 170 - this is likely the limit for this cot - larger individuals will likely prefer the Big Grizzly cot. Like all cots, they aren't roomy beds, but they are perfect for my use and needs."

"I found the Big Grizzly Cot to be comfortable and easy to assemble and disassemble. My four kids (6 thru 12) also found it very comfortable and asked to use it to sleep in each others rooms on weekends. It survived this experience for a few weeks but ultimately the legs bent beyond repair. I am not sure if this is a fair test of the product, but it lasted about as long as any of the inflatable mattresses we have owned."

"just returned from a 9 day do-it yourself elk hunt in colorado. Cot was perfect size/weight for packing in on your back. At 6'1" 205 lbs. cot was not quite long enough, or wide enough but did work well. If you can sleep on your back or front without tossing and turning, you will sleep fine. It was much nicer than sleeping on the ground. The only drawback was a taller cot will allow you to get dressed and put on tour boots more comfortably. We hunted at 10,000 feet in 18" of snow, the cot was the least of my worries."

"I went on a hunt in CO and used the cot as my bed for 6 days. I purchased two one for a friend and one for myself. My friends bent easily. I bought the larger ones think ing they would be stronger. Most likely they will be returned."

"This cot was extremely hard to set up the first time and I nearly gave up. However, every time after that it got easier. Now I can set it up in less than 3 minutes and take it down in the same time. It is light weight and fairly compact and could be used for backpacking. It is also very comfortable and stable. Overall, it is a very good product, just don't give up the first time you set it up."
