Great Bag!!!,November 16, 2009
By Ken20091116from Indiana
"I took this bag out for the first time this weekend during the Indiana shotgun deer season. It was not really cold, one night at 29 degrees F. I am a pretty broad guy and this bag has tons of room. I was barely comfortable at 29 as this bag is very warm. On the second and third nights in the tent the temperatures were only in the forties but with the bag unzipped, I stayed comfortable. It is a little cold getting in as the liner is slick and I was sleeping in just boxers but it warms up in a couple of seconds. Go for it guys, this thing is worth every cent. I am going to get it out this winter and see how cold I can stand it in the bag. I would be willing to bet that 0 is not going to be a problem."

GREAT BAG, TOO SMALL FOR A BIG GUY,November 13, 2009
By vicabifrom San Ysidro, CA
"I bought this bag based on the good reviews it had, used it a couple of times but being 6´1" and 240 lbs it felt small, if the zipper was all the way up when I tossed the bag would turn with me making me feel cramped in it. The material is really nice inside and out, and it is really warm, it does however have a problem with the zipper getting stuck if you are not careful when pulling on it. A friend of mine who is much smaller in size bought this bag from me, I hope he likes it. I'm going to try the Magnum 44 in -20 degrees."

Big Man, Big Bag,November 2, 2009
By allaboutturkeysfrom Morrison, Colorado
"Alright guys, I have read every review prior to purchasing this bag. I'm 6'-4" and 260lbs, this bag has plenty of room. Yes, the fabric gets caught in the zipper, hello, you have to pay attention to what your doing. It was easily removed. I was able to get the bag rolled and into the stuff sack both times I've used the bag, again, you have to pay attention. The bag is extremely warm, no need to sleep in anything but undies. I would recommend this bag to anyone needing a new, warm and spacey bag."

Major Zipper Issues,October 29, 2009
By RLS54from Phoenix, AZ
"I purchased this bag after reading a few reviews that talked about the zipper catching on the material but thought that if I were careful this would not be a serious issue. Everything else written about the bag sounded great. I as wrong. The first time I got into the bag the zipper got caught but it was not too hard to free up. Second time, same thing. To make a long story short, right after I came home from my hunt I returned the bag. It was very warm but the zipper issue was not worth the hassle especially when nature calls at 2am and it's dark, cold and you just don't want to spend time messing around trying to get back into something warm."

3D Rectangular bag,October 21, 2009
By Bluzy788from California
"Just got back from an elk hunting trip in Northern Idaho using this bag for the first time. In the wall tent with the wood stove going, this bag was too warm. I slept on top of it several times. However, when the stove burned out and the temperature dipped to near zero, this bag was plenty warm. And I did not have it all bundled up and was still very comfortable."

Quality Bag,March 3, 2009
By MitchellGfrom Delta Junction, Alaska
"I purchased the -30 bag and have used it on moose hunts in Sept. in the Alaska Range with temps at 20 degrees and the bag was very comfortable. We have camped during the Winter Dec. & Feb on some of the warmer days and nights with temps at -5 to -20 and the bag kept me warm as toast. When you get into a bag at 20 below and can get warm it has got to be a good product. I would like to see a little more room at the top and a better zipper system but, all in all the bag is well worth the price. Want to stay warm buy the 3-D bag. MitchellG Delta Junction, Alaska"

Just so-so,February 2, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Connecticut
"Bought this bag last week prior to my camping trip to the Catskills; bought the -15 degree model. Was facing tempatures between 0 and 5 degrees, and wore a standard pair of heavyweight thermals at first, and was still cold. I put on another layer of thermals, my heaviest socks and threw in some toe warmers and I finally got warm after that.
If this bad was advertised as rated for 10 degrees, I'd say it was a good bag. However, it simply is not a comfortable bag at its rated tempature (or even higher). Perhaps it will keep you alive at -15, but you will be far from comfortable.
However, the bag did get wet overnight and on the section it was damp on, it did retain the heat on it as if it were dry, I will give it that."

Great bag for a big Guy like Me!!,January 5, 2009
By ChucktheScouterfrom Jacksonville, North Carolina
"After a recent church father and son campout where I used my old military sleeping bag system and got very cold, (25 degrees that morning) I decided it was time to buy a new sleeping bag. I chose the long size of the Cabelas 3D Retangular sleeping bag. I used it at a Boy Scout campout that day it arrived. I have not been that warm overnight at a late fall campout since I was a kid. it got down to about 23 that night. I'm 6'6" and weigh about 235. I found the bag to be very generous in length and width. I can lay in it with out my head or feet touching the top or bottom. and found that with the 3D panel and rectangular shape I had plenty of room to roll around. The fleece lining on the compression sack is a nice touch. Makes for a great pillow when you stuff a fleece jacket in it. It would be nice if the stuff sack had compression straps running the length of the stuff sack instead of just arround it. Some of the other reviews state the zipper will snag easily. It will if your not careful but it unsnags very easily. All in all this is a great sleeping bag."

"I am a larger guy 6' 2" 250# and the bag was not wide enough so it needed to be returned. Zipper was not easy to use on the side of the bag. Would be a great bag if it were a little wider."
