No matter what type of rifle you have, how much you developed a load, it doesn't really matter if it fails to fire. Consistent, positive ignition is easily accomplished on most rifles by simply converting the ignition system from a standard #11 to a musket cap. Musket caps are not only hotter they also put out twice as much flame, igniting Pyrodex or even slightly damp black powder.
