"The torch did not work very long. It didn't work with a Bic Classic lighter. the ignition mechanism gave out very soon after I began to use the torch. Good idea, terrible product."

slight room for improvement,May 5, 2008
By gleebafrom PA
"Not a bad lighter, but what I really don't like is the childproof mechanism makes it difficult to operate the lighter with one hand. Inside, the refillable cartridge is basically a cheap common lighter without the flint or spark wheel roller on it. You adjust the intensity of the flame like you would any other lighter. The problem is, if you want a stronger or weaker flame, you have open it up and remove the lighter to adjust it manually. So far no quality problems, but I'm not too sure about the durability of this refillable lighter unit. The fuel does seem to last pretty long between refills however."

Not Bad,December 29, 2007
By atvforlifefrom Perry, Utah
"This is definitely compact enough for a survival pack. The flame is strong, and as mentioned by others "it can blow small tinder away from the flame". The butane tank that comes with it is fine for refill. Scripto lighters fit in the case, but the bics are too big."

Micro Jet Pocket Torch,February 21, 2007
By MuskieHunter
"Totally disappointed with this product. When it arrived, the butane lighter was already installed.....trouble was, the lighter had no wheel or flint, so it was worthless. The torch won't accept just ANY butane lighter, as is implied. It only accepts the smaller rectangular base ones (not your average Bic). I have looked in 3 convenience stores and still haven't found a lighter to fit it. The idea is good, but they should have modified the shape of the lighter holder to accept ANY butane lighter. If you get one of these, make sure you have a source for the smaller lighters. Overall, I would not recommend this product because of the design. I was planning on using it on shrink wrap tubing on my boat renovation project, but I guess I'll just have to "flick my Bic"."

Jet Torch,January 12, 2007
By outdoorsmannfrom Colorado
"This product was not what I expected it to be, nor did it perform the way I thought it would. I do not know if it is the Colorado altitude, or the lighter itself, but I cannot get it to light, and when I do, the flame extinguishes easily."

Micro Jet Pocket Torch,November 23, 2006
By SepDD214from Jewell, IA
"Great Tool... Use any disposable butane ligther and create a windproof, turbine force of power. You can buy similar, refillable butane lighters everywhere, but, whith the Micro Jet Pocket Torch you can make any common butane cigarette lighter into a windproof "super torch." Great for any survivalist. This product comes with a refillable butane lighter; however, if necessary, any disposable lighter will come to task."
