"These straps will pull a vehicle out of some hellacious muck, but BE CAREFUL. It MUST be anchored to the frame of both vehicles. For a hard pull, dropping it over a hitch ball isn't strong enough. You need a tow hook or more. Some years ago, some locals tried to pull a car out of mud using one. The car didn't have a hook so they wrapped the strap around the front bumper and hooked to a front tow hook on a pickup. The strap stretched as it's supposed to do and ripped the bumper off the car. The stretched strap threw the bumper through the front windshield of the truck and killed the driver."

"This product is well made, but you hope you never have to use it. Getting pulled out of a ditch or mud hole is not my idea of a good time. In order for this strap to be a favorite in my truck, it is best left under the rear seat."
