Well-made and Inexpensive,

"This is an inexpensive, well-made fabric cartridge holder that I like for the way it protects the polymer tips found on some premium cartidges, fold up design and positive velcro closure that helps prevent accuidental cartridge lose and, especially, the very versitile velcro strap that allows it to be easily attached (and removed) from my day pack hip belt. I must admit I don't have a pack that uses the Buddy-Lok feature, so I bought the holder intending to cut off the Buddy-Lok, which I did. Nice product no matter what use your imagination comes up with."

"after reading the reviews i felt i needed to clarify one thing. THIS IS NOT THE STRETCHY TYPE THAT GOES ONTO YOUR RIFLE'S BUTTSTOCK. the buddy lock system is a fastening system for individualizing accessories on cabela's packs (some other manufacturers have identical fasteners...calling it something else). this is indeed very handy to have, as you can slide the waist belt of your pack through the opening many of the previous posters were trying to shove a buttstock through. quite frankly, i am even in awe someone got it on a buttstock. the stretchy variety is usually made by butler creek, or uncle mike's."

"This item will probably work great if you have the buddy lok system. The product description states it will work with or WITHOUT the buddy-lok system. It does'nt work without the buddy-lok system, infact it doesnt even come close to sliding over your stock. Make sure you have the buddy-lok system before you buy."

"I was actually looking for a cartridge holder that would fit on my rifle and I thought that this was it. This one actually is not that type of cartridge holder, but is very useful. I decided to keep it and just order the other type later."

"The holder does the job it is supposed to do (hold ammo) it is very useful in that way the only problem is that my gun(rem. 700 sps) has a cheekpad so it is hard to get the holder on the butt the best thing that i have found to work is to take an air compresser and as you push the holder on blow air between it and the stock of the gun, it slides on much easier that way"
