"This is a great coat for the sitting or tree stand hunter.. However for the active, go and find, trekking hunter. Its a little too warm, HOT!! But cause of the 4 in 1 option it works out.. Great for sitting around the fire and keep off the chill before and after hunt!"

"My box from Cabela's came in early in the day on October, 26th. Typhoon Lupit, was just starting to make landfall. I live in the Mountains of Japan, oh by the way 60% of Japan is Mountain's with no people, lot's of wild life and yes, people hunt and fish in Japan, I love fishing, the trout fishing is amazing:))) SORRY BACK TO TEST OF OF PARKA. Typhoon Lupit, was big, with strong winds and heavy rain, and it was cool. I went into the Mountains by my house for a 5km hike. This Parka is amazing, the liner kept me warm, but not hot. The Parka did not become heavy when wet, silent movement:))) The hood is a must in bad weather, the jacket itself has no neck adjustment, the hood has this function. I wear a H1H 10 gallon hat, the hood and my H1H are a perfect match. Together they kept me dry. If you wear a cap with the hood on not a problem, you will have full movement and by dry and warm and happy. Without the hood, the neck is exposed, but I like the room. I came home after my hike the jacket dried fast:))) A great buy. I always order my clothing 2 sizes bigger so I can wear my pistol holsters, vest and other gear under my clothing, I ordered 5xl I should have ordered 3-4xl. I think if I would have ordered the 3xl my size the "neck" would have been better. But the 4xl would still have given me the room for my work gear under the Parka. If you are using the parka for hunting etc with no gear under order you size, it is a big fit. Oh I almost forgot the liner is a perfect cut, not as long as the parka, it is cut for about waist fit, and very nice to wear alone. I WILL BUY ANOTHER IN THE FUTURE"

"This was a very nice buy, I can have the extra layers in the winter if I need them and the liner is very easy to put on and take off. It is a little heavier that I expected with the liner in but not to the point to where you can't move. It will be GREAT for the warmer months when no liner is needed, I like the hood too. It is very soft and quite material."

"I have not had a chance to use the product in a hunting situation yet, but I have tested both the parka an bibs in both a cold windy rain (temp 32-33 deg), and in 10 deg high wind for long periods of time. At no time did I get wet or cold and all that I was wearing underneath was my jeans and a long sleave t-shirt. Both test included walking and sitting. The parka liner is a little noisy, but for me that is not a big deal. I would highly recomend this product to anyone who would like to stay dry and warm. Northern Vermont!"

"I am very pleased with this jacket. As a bigger guy it is very difficult to find anything of quality and functionality. I hit a home run with Cabela's. This jacket is plenty big enough for me to wear the proper base layer. It remains quite in the cold temperatures and I was very happy how it kept me dry during our rain/snow/sleet days during bow hunting. For rifle hunting I put the liner in and at 6 degrees F did not have a problem.
The 4-in-1 portion of this jacket is very easy to install and remove. Even when bow hunting the sleeves were tight enough not to catch the bow string on release.
The only draw back is that burrs stick to the jacket."
