The stuff of champions!,

"I use it on my 4 month old t.w. coon/plott hound mix and he does exceptionally well on it. He chews the leather stopper thing on occasion but it hasn't caused any damage. I've had it for about 3 weeks and no cons as of yet. Plus, the green looks good on his red coat. :)"

Great Lead,
February 21, 2009
By Kidrizo
|
"The great thing about this lead, is that you don't need a collar. You can just slip it on. I like walking w/ this style vs. collar and leash because it offers more control. Position it high up on the neck and fasten it in place for easier control. This is a must for my type of dog (german shorthaired pointer) You can't do that w/ the collar/leash combo. It also creates instant feedback for the dog on corrections. Just don't let your dog get a hold of it, because it is easily destroyed if chewed."

GREAT LEAD FOR A BULLDOG,
December 2, 2008
By Bulldoglover
from Amherst, NH
|
"I use this lead for my English Bulldogs because their necks are large and regular collars sometimes slip over their heads, and harnesses are a bother to put on and take off.
When we are getting ready to go out I just slip this over their heads. The lead is thick and comfortable and can easily be positioned high on the neck for control or let out while walking along without fear of the animal slipping out. It is like a collar and lead in one and is well made and sturdy."

British Slip Leads ...,
September 29, 2008
By yodasmyhero
from State College, PA volunteer ar Centre County PAWS

"... perform the function of a chain choker collar in a much more gentle way. Plus, with the moving leather stop on the lead itself there is no possiblity of the dog backing out of a loose loop as happens with chain collar. The rope is wider than a chain and so spreads any force applied over a wider area, thus it delivers the correction but at less discomfort to the dog. Finally, the loop does not collapse like it would on a chain choker, it has some integrity to it and remains open so it goes on the dog very, very easily."

No more fiddling with the clasp!,
August 29, 2008
By Alohn
from Savannah, Ga
|
"This is a very well made product. It has almost cured our Lab of lunging as well. It is very easy to use and you don't have to fiddle with the traditional clasp. That is a large help when you are trying to put the lead on a rambunctious young dog."

Slip Lead works Great,
August 25, 2008
By QCwillie
from charlotte, NC
|
"I have been very satisfied with the Mendota Slip Lead. It is very easy to use, and is very effective in training a dog (35 lb.) to heel. The 4' length does not give enough leeway for the dog to get any momentum to tug, and the leash tightens based on the dogs' tugging, not on me tugging on him."

Great leash and training aid,
February 29, 2008
By shakeybat
from Arvada, CO
|
"I was surprised how functional yet simple this leash is. The on and off of the dog is quick and the leash just feels good to hold and applies correction safely compared to a chain. I am surprised that this type leash doesn't seem to be available in my local pet superstore. Nice leash."

Great product,

By vettech

"I am a veterinary technician and I recently purchased this lead for a friend' s birthday present. She is a new dog owner and admired both the control and convienence I had with my similar slip lead which I've used for years with my lab. She LOVES her new lead and her Rotti -Lab mix responds to it wonderfully! I loved the bright orange color and 4 ft. length so much I almost kept it for myself and gave her my old one!"
