Maine style hunting boot for wet grounds,

"I used a pair for upland game hunting and walking to ponds & creeks for fishing. After over 20 years of hard use the heels cracked. The only place I could find a replacement was Cabellas. The only change in all those years was a very light fabric lining on the leather uppers. They fit like a glove, are very comfortable, and I expect them to last as long as I do."

"I found them to be very satisfactory. They were very comfortable the only problem I found is they need to be offered in 1/2 sizes. I normally wear a 10 1/2 and had to step up to a 11. This makes them slightly loose on my feet. Other than that I think they are a great boot."

Ideal For Dog Training,

"I bought these for training down in the Imperial Valley. We put out our birds in alfalfa or Bermuda grass fields. Sometimes the only fields we can use have been recently irrigated. ordinary hunting boots, or hiking boots just get clogged with mud. Ispray aliittle Pam on the bots and the mud doesn't stick to the chain treads nearly as badly. At the end of the session I just zip them down and take them off with a boot jack (highly recommended). Then I put them in a plastic bag for transport home. Best of all these boots are extremely comfotable to walk in. Great arch, and ankle support! Now if they only made them for dogs."

Top Too Tight,

"The bottom and sole were ok. They were very tight on the calf. I am 6'1" and weigh 225. They were uncomfortably too tight on the uppers so I sent them back."

"Everything was fine with these boots, except the 10" height rubbed above my sock and were uncomfortable. I guess I could buy all new socks to wear with these boots, but I opted for the 8" height instead."

"I purchased this boot the first time in 2003 and loved it. It was great for farm chores involving cows. When the boot split in the back, I went back for my perfect boot. However, when I got it, a tricot padded lining had been added. This is fine for winter but it is too warm for summer chores. I wish they would bring back the truly uninsulated boot--I would buy a few to have on hand! So for winter it is an excellent buy but I would not recommend it for summer."

"The boots do not come in half sizes which makes fit difficult.
I have a choice of too small or in this case too big.
I get blisters and wear a hole in the sock if I walk in them for more than an hour or so
but because they are the better choice for me in the atmosphere that I use them (I am a fishing guide and I wear them in the morning when I catch bait with the cast net) and they are quality footwear, I choose to live with it"

"I bought my wife a pair of these for Christmas. We have a barn and it gets very muddy in the winter. The boots came with a thin layer of Thinsalate material in side and are warm, but do breath and she says her feet are very comfortable in these boots. They are water proof also."

"I would recommend these boots to anyone. I use them everyday at home while washing out my kennels and doing other work around the house. When its warm I don't zip them up so they are not to hot. When the temperature drops I will zip them up and put on a thick pair of socks and everything is good. I purchase them one size larger then I normally wear just so I can use thick socks in the winter time and not have them fill to tight. A good product for the price."
