"Bought this years ago. Love the rifle. Never had a misfire, always used blackpowder in it. Wish they still had this in flintlock, I would buy it in a minute!"

50 caliber sight in.,May 29, 2007

"I shot different bullets with 80 to 100 grains of Triple 7 powder and found 85 grains of Triple 7 with a TC 265 gr. maxi hunter shot best. At 100 yards with open sights a pattern of 8" was possible with two sucsessive shots without cleaning. At 50 yards 3" pattern or less was the norm. Very good for open sights. The only thing I didn't like was the cheek patch on the stock hits my cheek bone in the wrong place and caused me considerable discomfort after numerous shots."

"I HAVE OWNED ONE OF THESE RIFLES FOR ABOUT 12 YEARS IT HAS BEEN A VERY FUN AND DURABLE MUZZELOADER I CANT EVEN IMAGINE HOW MANY ROUNDS I HAVE SHOT THROUGH IT ROUND BALLS AND SABOTS IT STILL SHOOTS GREAT AND ACCURATE MINE HAD A WOODEN RAM ROD I REPLACED IT WITH A FIBERGLASS ONE FOR THE CHANCE OF BREAKING IT WHILE HUNTING I WOULD RECOMEND THIS RIFEL TO SOMBODY WHO WANTS TO STAY NOSTALGIC FOR HUNTING"
