Zodi Hotman Extreme S/C Shower

Take a refreshing shower in the field with this Hotman Extreme S/C. Just attach a 16-ounce propane bottle to the heavy-duty burner, fill the tank with water and light the burner. The hand pump pressurizes the tank so there is no need to lift it for use as a shower. It has an on/off shower head. The powerful 10,000 BTU burner also doubles as a cook stove. Set up dimensions (with top up) 8"W x 32"H.

"the shower was a hit with everyone in our huntin' camp this year in northern b.c . It was very nice to have a hot shower after a long day hunting. The girls like it especially . the pressure was great just had to pump her up when it dropped . great buy in our camp."

"I almost opted to buy the Zodi Battery powered shower but the idea of batteries and also some of the reviews persuaded me to take a chance with this shower instead. It reminds me of one of those old Class "A" fire extingusihers. My wife and I are glad we picked this shower. The only thing you have to be careful of, is to not load anything too heavy on top of it when loading up to go or return (I accidently put a dent in the canister but nothing serious). We didn't use the burner because we found it easier to heat water on our Coleman to almost a boil in a pot and mix it with cold water in the canister to 100 degrees (It has a thermometer permanently attached to the outside of the canister). Pump that baby 20-30 times and the pressure is pretty good for a fast wetdown. Turn it off, soap up, pump it again and rinse off with some extra water to spare. One canister per shower. After you get home, make sure you let it air out really good and drop a few drops of 3 & 1 oil into the pump to keep it in good shape. This sure beats the hassle of worrying whether or not the batteries will hold or even worse if you forget batteries. It worked really well within the shower tent we bought too.
I highly recommend it."

"My family and I just gave the Zodi Hotman Extreme the maiden voyage during our 3 day camping trip. What a great product! The design is simple but very effective. Fill up the tank, heat to the desired temperature (temp gauge included on side of tank), pump 20 times; and you're in business. Enough water for a decent shower if you're using common sense with water conservation. The quality of the tank, stand and upgraded pump handle is top notch. The shower head looks a little flimsy, but the pressure was very good. Don't waste your money on the battery powered units. The pump is easy to use, and it will last forever."

"Zodi Hotman Extreme S/C Shower was the best money we ever spent. We used it camping. It was so hot in VA we did not heat the water. A full tank was enough for 2 adults and 2 children to shower. You adjust the pressure and control how fast the water comes out. I loved it!"

"after reviewing many of the availiable hot water systems I feel that keeping it simple was the best idea. I was very satified with the cost and value. I do agree with the other reviews , the hose and water spray nozzle could of been made of more sturdy materials. how ever they functioned well .this unit works great for showers,wash dishes and washing hands. :)"

"I bought the Zodi for a wonderfully refreshing shower in elk camp, but also used it to provide hot water for doing dishes and cleaning up around camp.

My hunting buddies thought I was a little soft when I told them I was bringing it, but they didn't hesitate to use it.

I may put a larger burner under it, just to speed up the heating a little, but it does work fine as is."

"A very good product for the Cabin, combined with the Cabela's Shower tent.... You can't go wrong. Shower Tent his very spacious and well made, we didn't encounter any problem so far.

The shower was a little expensive at first but well worthed.
You cannot go wrong with this purchase."

"If you have a plastic pump, call the company. Zodi shipped my replacement for free. The cast coupler shattered along with the plastic handle. My shower works great now with the steel replacement pump, shipped in a week after I made the call to Zodi. Make sure you lubricate the pump for longest lasting performance. I use mine for shower, hot water accompaniment to the Deluxe Camper's Kitchen, and water storage on long camps. Works with the PortaPrivy which I attach to the back of my 12x20 Alaknak II. I like this because of the simplicity and performance. The stand doubles as a second stove and fits my coffee pot perfectly. There's nothing like a hot shower while camping. Nice case that fits everything."

"We were ready to use our scent covering soap to go hunting in the early morning hours.It worked for my husband.I was not as fortunate.The pumping mechanism stopped before I had a chance to get use of it.We have had it replaced & haven't been able to see if the replacement worked any better."

"I tried the battery operated Zodi first, but the pump was kinda cheap so I returned it and got the hand-pumped Extreme instead. In addition to bathing , a portable source of hot water also makes doing dishes a lot easier.
If you have a hunting camp (or tent), you have to heat the water outside, but once it's hot enough, you screw the pump handle on and its easily carried anywhere you need it. The battery operated models aren't as portable.
Neither model has great water pressure, but if you elevate the tank and hold the nozzle low (like tapping a keg of beer) it's perfectly adequate.
If you're getting a Zodi, go with the Extreme."

"This is my second Zodi Extreme. I wore out the first one over six years of frequent use. I said a word of thanks as I recycled the stainless steel tank. The next generation Extreme is even better. A larger tank, shut off valve, a spring to support the hose as it comes out of the tank and an improved pump make an already superior product even better. The only change I made to both of the Extreme's is that I cut off the little red shower head and added a standard sink sprayer as my shower head. If you spend a lot of time camping as my wife and I do the Zodi Extreme is a great way to shower."

"This shower is one of the best purchases I have ever made. You know after 2 or three days of hunting your tired, you stink, and your disire to continue hunting starts to fade. This shower is revitalizes you, the pressure is strong, the water is hot, and your confidence from not spooking everything in 200 yards away is back. Buy this item and you will never regret it. If I was going to make one recomendation to the maker it would be to add a gallon or two larger size. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of water for a shower but it would be nice to spend a couple of extra minutes just relaxing in the heavenly water. Elk hunting Joe"

"This shower took 30 min to get warm (nice temp)from 60 deg.
water. If pumped 40 times you get 1 min 20 sec of preshure
before repumping. You get about 4 sesions of 1 min 20 sec
before the tank runs out. About (2) three min. showers.
The preshure is quite good. No batteries needed.
Wet down turn it off soap and rinse is the way to go with this
shower. One person could get a nice long shower
If he/she used the whole tank."

"I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT AND TOOK IT TO MY CABIN IN NEW YORK WITH GREAT RESULTS. IT HEATS UP IN ABOUT 12 MINUTES AND HOLDS THE HEAT FOR THE WHOLE TIME. THE ONLY THING I HAD TO DO WAS PUMP IT UP AGAIN TO KEEP THE WATER PRESSURE THE WAY I LIKE IT. I LOVE IT"

"The private shower was again easy to set up. The corner shelf was handy to store toiletries, the towel rack right outside the door was very convenient. The drainage of the water after the shower was good. The heating tank was easy to use and was sufficient for 2 showers. I would recommend a way of measuring the temperature of the water so water does not get too HOT!! The shelter was sturdy and did perform well in the moderate wind conditions we experienced."

"After 10 days without power, we had to do something. The shower, tank and heater all work great. However the plastic shower head itself did not work out very well. If you leave the nozzle "on" and turn the water flow off and on at the tank, it worked just fine. I replaced the plastic nozzle with a brass one with it's own shut off valve for under $10.00. Very happy with the unit overall."
