"Cheap made and it came with a couple pieces broken off of it. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this item. There are better quality cook stoves of this type out there."

Porta-Chef Stove,January 29, 2009
By rjh245from PA
"This stove it so easy to use. It is light to carry and it heats water very quickly. I am very pleased with the quality.
I have used it many times during loss of power and with the matchless lighting it is a breeze to use.
Replacing the fuel canister is easy and much safer than using white gas. No messy pouring to deal with."

Porta-Chef Stove works great - HOT FLAME,October 15, 2007
By camps4horsesfrom PA
"The hot flame of butane is what impressed me most, that and the automatic ignition. Couldn't believe how fast water heated up (I'm used to propane). I love the compactness of this stove. It is perfect for coffee in the morning or will hold a large frypan or pot for the main meal!"

Great Product,June 12, 2007
By DMK1from Northern IL
"I use this stove on my boat for all my cooking. The butane is safe and easy to load. This works as good as my home stove. I boil water, cook meals, make coffee. The butane canisters are easy to find locally and last for 10 or more meals. It's very stable and stores away nice in the storage case. This is a great product that I would recomend for anyone looking for a easy to use one bunner stove."

porta chef stove,May 21, 2007
By julliefrom British Columbia
"The stove arrived promptly but broken, new one arrived two days later. It works great! I still don't understand the built in wind screen., if there is one. This device must be used in an area sheltered from the wind. It was used on a boat near Alaska salmon fishing. It was nice to use to make coffee or a hot water bottle."

Porta-Chef Stove on a great hunt,November 27, 2006
By GadwallOnefrom CA
"I had admired these stoves for some time, but when I drew an antelope tag for WY this year, I knew that I had to have one as a backup to my 50 year old two burner white gas stove, and also because the butane flame is hotter and gets the coffee ready quicker in the morning. I also liked the piezo starting feature giving an immediate flame with no external lighting required.
I used the stove on my WY trip during the last week of September this year and it worked great! And, Yes, I got my antelope!"

Very nice product...,November 21, 2006
By kdrivenfrom SE Michigan
"I bought this item because I had seen it used at a hotel I was staying in for preparing omlettes for guests. I've also seen similar items used on cooking shows as counter top burners where they were cooking outside of kitchens. This item is excellent, the burner control is spectacular, not anything like the uncontrolable side burners on most outside grills. The fuel canister being contained in the unit makes it a nice compact package. I'm ordering three more as Christmas gifts for friends that have seen it and think it's great. For the price it can't be beat!"
