Cabela's coffee pot carry bags,
September 30, 2009
By vettman
|
"I've bought many, many outdoor items from Cabela's over the years and can honestly say this is the only one that's ever disappointed me. It immediately bunched up when trying to draw the bag closed; even taking time to try and "work" the cord into place, I never succeeded in getting the bag more than about half closed. It was very frustrating to try and use so I ultimately quit using it. You'd be much better off just buying a cheap throwaway version from a big box store. Again, this is the only item in many satisfied years of buying Cabela's products that I've been unhappy with. Definitely would not recommend this to a friend."

coffee pot bag,
April 21, 2009
By michcampur823
from Saginaw Michigan
|
"Recieved this in the mail, when I went to open it ,to try the fit for my coffee pot, it would not open alll the way. Then when I finnaly got it open , the top would not close. It seems someone at the factory, decided to sew the draw string to the side. I tried to fix it by cutting the piece of material that was sewing over the draw cord. But for some reaons its still a bear to try to close at the top with the draw string.Definatly some kind of design flaw.I think the material is actually to tuff for the top to use with the sinch string.Would be a wonderful bag if it wasnt for the top closure issue."

Pretty good bag,
March 10, 2008
By SharpDog
from Knoxville, TN
|
"This is a well made and attractive carry bag for your cabela's stainless coffee pot. The carry bag for the 12 & 14 cup pots fits the 14 cup pot exactly. Be aware that the bag has a hard bottom. I was thinking of using it for a spice bag in case I really didn't need ot for the coffee pot.
It will suit that purpose except that the top does not close as tightly as it could. This is also an issue for the coffee pot since part of the glass percolating window is exposed. I would have given a higher rating if this were not the case."

Keep the pot covered,
February 20, 2008
By Fred22
from nj
|
"Although a bit on the expensive side for what you get, this is a good way to store the pot. My only beef with the bag is the draw string. The tensioner for the drawstring is secured to the bag. I have never seen this done before, and do not like it. This application makes the bag bunch up, and then it is a bit tough to close the top. In short, it would wors soo much better if the tensioner was not secured to the bag."

Who Designed the Draw String Assembly?!,
February 9, 2008
By Rafterman
from Illinois
|
"This coffee case is actually a well built, good looking product. And hey, whay else are you going to put the coffee pot in long after the box wears out? The problem is the draw string clasp. It's connected to the bag in a wierd, restrictive way. You go to pull the strings to close the bag and the bag does not close. You have to fight it to the point to where you might rip the material."

Heavy but good,
October 16, 2007
By North61
from Canada's NWT
|
"These are heavy duty bags and extremely well made. Not designed as ultralight backpacking gear but really good for canoeing/skidooing/sledding or car camping where the extra protection and sturdy construction is appreciated. The bags have a stiff non collapsable bottom which protects the bottom of the pot. These bags are bigger than I thought and the large size would accept one heck of a coffee pot. The diameter and heighth in inches would help in proper selection catalogue shopping rather than the cup capacity of the pot. Best stuff bag I have ever seen for protecting pots/kettles ect."
