Excellent item for the hunting/fishing enthusiast!,September 18, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Lansing, MI
"I purchased this item with the sole purpose in mind to use it during river salmon fishing. It was an excellent addition to the gear I typically use and made the task of finding fish in the dark so much easier. My Dad actually recommended this light who has had one for almost 10 years and has just replaced the battery for the first time. Not sure that I would ever use the incredibly goofy hat that comes with it but the light is money well spent!"

Camo Lite,April 21, 2009
By farmertlt3from Indiana
"This light works very good. The only fault I find with it is the way the light attaches to the hat. The clip on the hat is plastic and it has already broken. That should be made out of metal and shouldn't fall off as easily as it does. As far as the operation and charging of the light it is great."

Excellent Froggin',February 16, 2009
By Tepetaterfrom Louisiana
"Great light for froggin'. I espicially like the dimmer setting for walking then go to bright for the grab by hand. Yeah, you can walk up to them you just gotta beat the wave. The hat brim keeps the light from blinding you unlike the old elastic strap 6 volt head lights. The longest I've been out was about 5 hours but only used the bright setting a total of maybe 1 hour. The rest of the time it was on low. Didnt notice any change in the intensity. A good investment so far seeing as it's only 1 month old."

Poor Performance,November 6, 2007
By miahcfrom Iowa
"After the first three nights of coon hunting, I am quite disappointed. The claim of "30,000 to 80,000 candlepower and quickly focuses from wide beam to spot" greatly over states it's ability. In comparision to another brand of 6 volt LITE at same cost: Western River's (W.R.) high setting is equal to the low setting on the other LITE. The low setting of the W.R. is equal to a good maglight. The bezel focus is rough and does not focus down to a "spot." It does focus down, but leaves an external ring of light, greatly reducing the overall brightness. The battery did not last through a 7 hour hunt, which obviously is the most disappointing result. This light will be fine for camping, hiking, or limited use. I would not recommend it for extended use or hunting."
