"My name is Eddie. I've had my original Cabelas dayglow collar since I was a pup eight years ago. I've since gained three brothers and one sister. Mom and Dad decided to order us all new collars so we would match. We LOVE our new blue Dayglow collars, which by the way, are Kentucky BLUE!!! They last forever and we love having our names and phone numbers with us at all times in case we get lost. We just received them today so we're showing off a bit. "The shipping was much quicker than stated. I bought a 1 ply and a two ply leather for each of my Shorthairs. I like them both, but the 1 ply is my favorite simply because there is less stitching to wear out. The hardware is solid, and the price reasonable."

"I am on my forth collar, and the collar holds up fine the name plate has came unriveted on all of them. the latest on came off in three weeks, about 2months is all it lasts on a hunting dog. would love to see the riveting be changed for durability."

"My dog rushes through the woods like a wild woman and always loses her collar, destroys it, or rips of the hanging tags and I was struggling to find a durable collar with identification that stayed put. This collar is water proof, looks great, doesn't come off and with the name plate, my pup can no longer lose her ID info, which brings me peace of mind. I'd recommend this collar to anyone who struggles with a rowdy dog who destroys other collars!"

"I have been using these collars since 1989 in fact I still have the original one that was purchased by a family member back then. The dog had it for 17 years. Now I have 2 Brittany Spaniels that have these collars. One is 13 years old and the other is 8 years old. I just purchased another collar today for a new puppy that I will soon be getting. I would recommend this collar to everyone.
I love the fact that if the dog gets caught on something in the field they can get themselves out of the collar so that the dog doesn't get hurt. People should buy this collar for this reason only.
The ID plate on the collar is also a wonderful thing you can put your name and address phone number etc. If the dog gets lost whoever finds the dog won't have the dogs name so I feel that the dog would be more likely to be returned to the owner."

"I have had 4 beagles and now have 2 labs and every one has had the coated nylon collar.At onther places they have this but it dosent have the name tag and it is the same price so get this.It is very strong .All you have to do to cleen it is put it in the dishwasher or clean it in the sink.Great Buy"

"I bought 2 of these collars for my smaller dogs for when we visited our farm property. I bought the blaze orange so they could be seen in field. The collars are now over 13 years old and while they didn't get worn constantly, my next set of dogs are wearing them for the same reason. The plastic has stayed nice and flexible through the years and the collar and name plates are still in great condition. I was worried originally that the plastic would be rough on the dogs' neck, but that never happened. One of my newer dogs has broken several other collars so now wears it full-time and I have had no problems.
We have also bought many of the nylon collars in the past several years for our newer dogs. They are extremely durable. Though the bird dogs often go swimming and running through the woods, they are holding up wonderfully. I only wish there was a way to change the nameplates on my old ones since the collars are in great condition, but I have moved since I bought them.
Additional note: use a cell phone number if you have one on the collar. If you are out looking for the dog, or are travelling, that is a great way for someone to get in contact with you immediately."

"I ordered this collar on the advice of two co-workers. This is a great collar, is well constructed and handsome in appearance. The name plate is a nice addition and provides for a very professional appearance for a working dog. This is solidly constructed and more durable than nylon collars that I have purchased for much more.
My only complaint is about the sizing. They explain to measure your dogs neck, then add 4" for the collar. I received my collar and was excited to put it to work, only to find out that it was tight on the last hole on my 80 lb. lab. With that in mind, I emailed Cabelas Online and in under an hour, they shipped out a new larger collar with the same inscriptions...AT NO COST TO ME. Customer Relations was WONDERFUL, very helpful and prompt.
I would without hesitation order from Cabela's again!"

"I have had 4 of these collars for my 2 dogs for a couple of years. My Golden Retriever and Black Lab are very hard on these, and they have held up excellently! We spend the summers at a remote commercial fish camp, and they are in the saltwater constantly. I use the orange ones over there, and can see them when they are way up the beach and in the bushes very easily. I have not had rusting problems with the salt water. I use the green ones at home, and they have only faded a little. I would and do recommend these to all my friends, and am ordering one for another Lab we have now. A great deal! You do have to order a little larger size, but mine fit fine."

"I bought this collar for my labrador 12 years ago. My lab was 2 years old and 97 lbs. and I needed a collar that was sturdy and durable because he was a puller. Unless I kept him in the house and stayed out with him when I let him out, he would jump the fence, dig under the fence and sit on the porch or go swimming and come home soaking wet. I was afraid we would lose him. The leather does stretch some if soaked in water like that.
My father recommended this collar. He raised and trained bird dogs in OK. We added the recommended two inches but it was still too small. Cabella's shipped out a larger collar with the engraving at no extra cost to me. My lab wore this collar until the day he died at age 14. I still have it. We have another lab now and he received this collar for Christmas."
