"I have a young female Lab that has a great nose, impressive endurance, and is gun shy. The blank pistol will be used with live clipped wing chuckers to help her get over that issue. So far, the pistol works well and feels solid in my hand. I liked the quality of this piece ... there is nothing worse than a cheap pistol. My pup gets her blood up chasing after the birds on the ground, and loves having feathers in her mouth. Once she is into the game, I add a shot at some distance as she closes on the bird. Over time we will close the range, add extra shots, and then introduce a shotgun. So far, so good. This is a great way to start her down the path to loving the hunt, and understanding that the sound of guns means feathers in her mouth."
