"not very pleased with it for two reasons: often misfires, i pull the trigger and it doesn't always fire. difficult to get the blanks out of the chamber after fired..i have to use needle nose plyers to get them out."

"Very poor quality. Would not recommend buying this. Save your money and buy a better pistol. Misfires a lot and the cylinder does not seat well and stay closed. Will be sending this one back."

"These were needed for the Special Olympics in our local area. They had lost the ones they had and my wife told me they had a problem. To solve it I called Cabelas and as usual they had what I needed and got it to me in time!!!!!!!!
The quality of these is absolute trash though. They are made so cheaply that they will not time and cylinder rotation is not even certain-----
Basically it got us out of a pinch but they will need to be replaced asap!"

"I have a gun shy puppy who loves to fetch. I bought the pistol because I live in a small suburb and wanted to work on my dog's problem. It worked great. I shot a blank every 4th or 5th throw and within 20 throws, he didn't even care. I repeated training a half dozen times with great success."

"I was dissapointed in this pistol. The price seemed nice, but it was ultimatley a waste of money. After firing only 50 rounds, it became very loose and unreliable. Now it will only fire once in every five pulls of the trigger."

Worst Product I have purchased from Cabelas,

"Bought this gun among many other dog training supplies. Was surprised it was so inexpensive but believed in the Cabelas brand and assumed it would at least go bang. I was wrong. I test fired it upon receiving it and that was that last time it went off. Just got back from a hunting trial where the dog would have received a perfect score had it not been for a complete lack of the gun firing. Very disappointed. In addition, I noticed that the right grip panel was loose prior to going into the test, but again, it doesn't have to look pretty - just go off. I am clearly very sorry to have purchased it and have already ordered another (albeit more expensive) one.
Do not buy this product - it simply has no redeeming features."

The Only Disappointment I've Had from Cabelas,

"This starters pistol is the only totally disappointing item I've ever had from Cabelas. I've put maybe 60 rounds through it while training my dog -- it now misfires 8 out of 8 times, and is totally frustrating.
Don't waste your money. It's total trash. They should take it out of the catalog."

"I borrowed one of these from a friend who rarely used his. It broke after loading and unloading it only 5 times! When it worked it only fired half the time anyway. Needless to say I had to buy him a new pistol and I didn't waste my money buying him another one of these."

"This item was a big disapointment Christmas morning. Even at the rock bottom price of $30 I expected something that would work. None of the 8 holes in the magazine had been drilled out so the blanks would not go in. The magazine advance did not engage properly so it would not hold position for firing if they did go in. There were other problems but you get the picture. Quality control was not in evidence anywhere. Do not buy it."

"This pistol is very low quality. Mine broke after only being used a few times. Even before it broke, it was very difficult to pull out the spindle to load the caps. Once loaded it was difficult to get the spindle back in the correct position to fire.
Overall I was very unhappy with the product."
