Base is great, rings and scope are trash,

"I bought the B-square mount for the mossberg 500 with the attached scope and rings. The mount is great and would recommend it purchased alone. The first thing I noticed when I opened the packaging was that 3 of the scope ring screws were stripped out of the base. The rings were garbage, in addition, the scope has such a long eye relief that using the shotgun, I had to put my face clear back by the recoil pad to even get a picture, and the heigth of the rings did not allow to set the scope any further forward to relieve the long eye relief."

B-Square Scope Combo and Carlson Rifled Choke,

"The scope combo mounted easily and quickly on my Remington 870 20ga. Then I took it out to sight in with a recently purchased Carlson Rifled Choke. What an ordeal! The scope was so far off I couldn't tell where the slug went. I had to go down to ten yards to even hit the the 36x48 back stop. The point of inpact was 18 inches high and 28 inches to the right. After 7 boxes of slugs on two days, it was finally sighted in. The scope was very difficult to adjust by its design - need a penny or dime.
In contrast, I have a B-Square Scope Combo on my Remington 870 12ga. Out of the box, the first shot was dead on but low, the second was a bit high after adjustment, and the third - fifth blew out the bulls eye on the target. Perhaps the scope on the 20ga was a fluke?"

"Good bang for your buck. I had to get taller rings to be able to slide the scope farther from my eye. I got bad eyes.
Very easy to install. Scope was very close out of the box
It was 6 inch left and dead on verticaly at 50 yards. Had it sighted in in 3 shots. Shot ten more shots, evey thing was still tight."

"Excellent value(when purchased with a rifled choke). I recommend for the occasional deer hunter who doesnt want to spend double for a fully rifled barrel w/scope mount and then also need to purchase a scope. A friend of mine recommended this setup and claims from experience that once scope is set you can remove entire saddle and reinstall without resetting. This set-up including the rifled choke tube costed what a rifled barrel alone would cost. The only down side is the plastic pack came open(probably during shipping) and dumped the screws throughout the corrugated shipping box. A couple were just about ready to fall through the seam of the box which would have been a big issue. I would recommend Cabela's put the pack inside a heatsealed or ziplock bag to prevent this in the future. This could have ruined my hunting weekend if screws made it out of the box as they were about to. (my state does not allow the use of slugs without rifle style sights or a scope anymore) Note: If hunting in the rain the saddle must be pulled off immediately and components oiled after use since corrosion is very rapid with the Aluminum mount in contact with the reciever."

"The unit mounted easily and, surprizingly, was almost zeroed when I checked it with my laser bore sighter. The only problem was the directions did not specify how much to tighten the two nylon front mounting screws and the rear one that goes through the frame. If you tighten the rear one too much it will interfere with the operation of the safety on a Winchester 1200. After I backed it off a bit the safety worked fine and zero was still maintained. When I tightened one of the nylon front screws too much it actually popped out of the threaded hole, however neither the nounting or screw threads were damaged and I was able to reinstall it."

Mossburg 500 B-Square Scope Combo,

"The scope combo seems to be a good product, however I stripped the threads out of the mount as I was tightening the screw. The directions say not to over tighten the screws so I was already being careful. However, it is a scope mount and you can not leave it loose. I exchanged the product and I am waiting for the new one. Hopefully, I can tighten the new one sufficiently without stripping it."

"I bought this to try slugs out of my 870, as compared to the price of a cantilever barrel. Two shots and was dead on and installation took less than five minutes. Extremely happy with the accuracy."

"I am thirteen and an avid hunter. My dad ordered this scope mount combo. Lucky for me he ordered the 20 gauge for his 12 gauge. I mounted it on my 870 and I love it. The great thing about the mount is that I can take it off for clay shooting and have it ready for deer hunting in a minute. I have found that if you don't bump it around you can remount it without having to sight it in again."

"Well the scope works great, but it surprizes me tha it is a reconditioned scope and it is not specified in the catalog. The product is and will produce the shot you want to make. But just a reminder it is a used scope but the saddle is new. For the price you cannot beat the price and performance."

"My new 2.5 power B-Square Scope Combo arrived and I took it out of the box and assembled it onto my Remington 11-87 in no time. It is well made, looks great, and even came with tools necessary to install it. Instruction were provided, but I really did not need them it was so easy. Good product at an even better than good price."

"The price is great, the function is priceless. Once I sighted it in, I was able to use it during deer season and remove the entire combo so that I could use my semi-auto shotgun for waterfowl. I was able to down 2 deer my first 2 seasons thanks to the accuracy afforded to me by the B-square combo. I have mixed feelings about recommending this product as it may increase my competion in the field. Highly recommended from a user not accustomed to getting exactly what he expects from many outdoor products."
