"This is the holster you want for the 1858 target model. Basically the same holster as cabela's standard 1858 NMA holster, but with a cut-out for the rear sight. I had to return a standard 1858 holster to the local cabela's after I found my target model wouldn't fit at all. This one fits great. Good quality leather, doubt I could find one like this anywhere for the same price. 4 starred only because I'm a bit leery about the snaps... other reviewers have had some issues with them. Mine seem solid."

"When I first received my holster I was pleased with the overall look, feel and fit but then after just a few dozen regular holsterings/unholsterings the snap on the retention strap fell off, waz up wit dat? I gave it two stars instead of one because it still functions as a holster it just can't be snapped in anymore."
